Black jeggings or comfy skinny jeans - help!

I urgently need to replace a dearly loved pair of black jeggings that came from Monsoon. Unfortunately, although they do a very similar pair still, the sizing is all over the shop. - I am a 14, and the 14 is barely any bigger than the 8 (about 2 inches difference on the waist) but the 16 is massively bigger than the 14 (about 4 inches on the waist). I have compared pairs in two different stores now and the results were exactly the same and none of the sizes fit me.

Can anyone recommend an alternative? My previous M&S ones go very baggy at the knees - not enough Lycra I suspect - but this wasn't obvious when I bought them and I don't want to make another mistake!

I should have flagged up the price. £45 is a fair old whack but in my experience they are worth it.

Dd recently asked for a pair of high waisted skinnies from Primark and raved about them so much I bought myself a pair (much bigger size and different colour). OMG they are the most comfortable thing I've ever worn and only £14 - I've bought so many much more expensive brands and these are perfection. They are the ones that look like normals jeans but have three buttons on the waistband, they do other high waisted ones that are flat fronted and look a bit odd, so not theses.

These are the Therapy ones. They seem to be out of stock online unfortunately but maybe available in store:

And the uniqlo jeggings which are much nicer than they look on the website:

Another one from Sainsburys. Really comfy, wash well and a bargain price.

Dorothy perking, Eden I think. Very soft jeggings.

Dorothy Perkins Bailey skinnies are fabulous.

Got to be honest I'm in Tesco jeggings, £12 bargain.
Got two blue and one black pairs and they have washed and worn constantly over the summer (on me they are more fitted/skinny than the pic would suggest).
I had an ileostomy bag op in June and couldn't wear anything with a zip and you would never know wearing these. Brilliant.

Thanks gobbin. Just bought some Tesco Jeggings. They're great, and 25% off today.

Wash em inside out and they'll last forever, is my experience this summer. I
f they're anything like the jeans I bought (when bootcut was in fashion) they'll be ok for when the fashion comes round again ha!

TeenyfTroon · 28/11/2014 22:34

Thanks, I will. I'm straightening my bootcut jeans. Mind you, by the time I've finished, they'll be back in fashion!
