About the only shoes I can find that don't rub are Clarke's or K Skips. Thankfully, they're a bit less grannyish nowadays. Some of the M&S range of Footglove shoes are okay as well. Good luck, I know how sore it can be!

Try boots (not the chemist ). I usually wear walking boot/doc type boots as I have the same problem. Although I bought a pair of Dr Marten Mary Jane off Ebay and have had no problems at all with them.

Yes, your feet have got used to those trainers, and those trainers have got used to your feet. There are a few things you can do to avoid rubbing, though. Your shoes should fit well (duh). Try different brands etc. Try different socks - thick or padded socks can protect your shoes from rubbing.

And if you do get blisters, they now make lovely strange wet blister plasters, that just stop the pain.

oh what are the plasters called?
