I bleed through everything. What do you wear at night? I am at a loss.

It's hard to know what's normal. It is heavy for about 3-4 days, sometimes a day longer. Is that not normal? What is normal? I will go and see the GP again. They did fob me off last time and suggested a coil!!!

You have to go to the GP, it's crazy to suffer like this. I had the same issue- transexamic acid helped enormously, and now I have a Mirena coil. It's a lifesaver (and like you I really didn't want one to start with). It's transformed my life for the better.

Have a look at Diary Doll pants- developed by tennis player Annabel Croft and Carol Smillie- available at John Lewis (online)- decent knickers with waterproof lining.

After I had my DD I became a flooder Sad so now its super plus tampon, plus night time always, my maternity knickersGrin and fitted yoga lycra shorts, plus a massive old beach towel under my bottom half. This is only for the first three days though.

If you go on a site called Honor your flow they sell massive pads the size of bike seats. They go in your knickers and I've never leaked using one. Cheaper than period pants.

Two towels, one behind the other. The one at the back has wings but you open them out so they cover a greater area. If you are really expecting to lose a lot of blood, two at the back, in a sort of overlapping V formation. Dark coloured pants and PJ bottoms, and a large beach towel folded in quarters underneath you.

In a total emergency (I'm a bit irregular and have occasionally forgotten to stock up in time) I have used an opened out DryNites nappy!
