After a change bag for an older child with SN

I am still using a nearly 6 year old change bag for my older son who has Cerebral Palsy and is still in nappies.

I need something that I can hang on his wheelchair to hold his pull ups, wipes, bibs, snacks, change of clothes. Except now everything is bigger and doesn't fit well.

I need a new bag, something where these things can be in seperate sections. I want to ditch the baby bag for something lovely that doesn't remind me that we're still stuck at the potty training stage.

Budget up to £70.

A bit left field but I got a handbag organizer and used it in my own bag when I had my DTs. I didn't like most bags and found they weren't really big enough in the right places for me.

I would then be tempted to get some of those travel packing cubes like these - one for wet clothes, one for clean clothes, one for wipes/pull ups in different colours www.cotswoldoutdoor.com/?fuseaction=products.search&searchvalue=cubes&source.x=0&source.y=0 or large ziplock bags for wet gear and then get a really nice tote bag that you like to put it all in.

I find a backpack style bag hangs really nicely over the wheelchair handles, and hangs out of the way, so you're not knocking into it as you walk.
I use ziplock bags inside the backpack for clothes, feeding supplies, nappy changes etc.
However, if the wheelchair has one curved bar handle instead of separate handles, this won't work as well.

Alternatively I have a messenger bag which has a long enough strap to fit over both handles, and then I can take it off and wear it cross-body style, if I need to leave the wheelchair somewhere.

Hmmm - I'm not sure I have found the "lovely" part of your request - just looked at John Lewis website and the prices were not lovely

What about a smaller lovely bag for you and a boyish backpack for his stuff?

I always just used a rucksack, would that work, it would be more grown up for him

I have a north face messenger bag, it's white with grey and brown trees on it.

Lots of room and the strap is adjustable quickly to hang over my different pram handles. Lots of internal pockets and a mesh bag that seals inside away from the rest of the contents - ideal for my wet/smelly items.

Wipe clean and waterproof. Bought mine from the NF outlet in Cheshire but they often pop up online in the sales.

Have you looked at Storksak? I saw a mum with one in the park and liked it so much I asked her about it. It is called the Tania in a very dark petrol blue (you can find them second hand in black too). It isn't on their website in that colour anymore but I bought an immaculate one on ebay for around £25.

It is very large with numerous pockets both inside and out and very clever velcro tabs to attach to the handlebars which tuck inside when you aren't using them. It is also lightweight for the size and washable (it says wipe clean but I put it through the washing machine with no problems).

But best of all it doesn't look like a changing bag and it cheers me up! Good luck finding something you like.

His wheelchair has one fixed straight handle bar not the usual two handles, which makes many bags unsuitable.

not very fashion conscious but I got a large messenger style sports bag for my son for similar reasons. he was also tube fed and I could keep his tube stuff in as well. It only had two sections but I used to put different things in zip lock bags to keep them separate and then I could pull out just what I needed.
