Quickest way to get rid of spots?

Dh has an interview this week, but has developed a cluster of nasty spots, big, red and yuck! What is the quickest way to get rid of them, i.e. in a day or 2?

He's been putting Oxy gel (spot gel for men) on them since Saturday, last night I advised toothpaste, which he did. They do look slightly better this morning. Anything else he can do?

Thanks Smile

I read about Sudocream miraculous effect spots on MN for ages, with a very cynical eye. Then I tried it out of desperation one evening and was totally converted.

There's a website/forum for acne with reviews of every possible product and treatment and none of them work for everyone. That's probably why the salicyic-can't-be-arsed-to-look-it-up acid treatments (Neutrogena and Clean and Clear) are utterly useless on me. As is that LaRoche-Poussay Effeclare Duo... it does absolutely nothing. But, yeah - Sudocreme made a huge difference for me.

I haven't tried toothpaste or crushed aspirin even though I've read about them for years.

Another vote for Sudocrem - only recently tried it after recommendation from a friend but leaving it on overnight makes a HUGE difference.

I find sudocrem really leaves me congested if I use it too long, although that's after prolonged use.

have been using LRP since Fri and seen some improvement but starting to get a bit dry now Sad
