Hyarolinic gel?

DameDiazepamTheDramaQueen · 02/11/2014 11:54

Is that how you spell it?Grin

Anyone tried it from Aldi? Just got some, should last forever as it's in a big glass bottle with a dropper.

You're meant to apply after cleansed skin, is that before moisturiser?Confused

I use hydraluron and it's made such a difference to my skin. It seems plump and a lot less dehydrated. My make up also sits a lot better as my skin doesn't seem to be using up the moisture in my make up.

Hydraluron is also plant derived and most hyluronic acid is fermented from rooster combs and supposed to be high in heavy metal content. I'm not sure to what extent this would affect your skin but I tend to use plant based skincare wherever possible.

DameDiazepamTheDramaQueen · 03/11/2014 09:20

Clara, what's the difference between that and hyarulonic?

I've woken up looking at least twenty years youngerWink

Does anyone know if the Aldi stuff is plant derived? Don't fancy putting fermented rooster combs on my face Shock

CoconutAmericano · 03/11/2014 10:33

These are the list of the ingredients. Don't sound very "natural"

Hyarolinic gel?
DeadCrispyHedgehog · 03/11/2014 10:38

Ohh Noddy I'd love one if you can.. no aldi nearby and the one that's nearest never has any of the stuff mentioned on here.

I wonder if it'll be any good on marionette lines?

uneedme · 03/11/2014 10:43

Does anyone know the exact name. I can't find it.

seasalt · 03/11/2014 11:02

You are right coconut, it's hard to know what those ingredients are. Did a bit of googling and it seems most of this stuff is made from plants nowadays. Still hard to be sure.

CrazyLadyAtNumber31 · 03/11/2014 16:40

Noddy, we have no Aldi in Norn Iron... if I paypal you with the cost and postage would you mind posting one to me please?

Clarabumps · 03/11/2014 17:06

I'm not sure if the aldi one is plant or animal derived but I know that Hydraluron (brand name) was the first hyluronic acid to be plant derived. It is expensive. £25 but its on 3f2 in boots quite a lot and I've been using mine for around 6 weeks and the tube is not even half used as you only need a teeny amount.
Away to google creatine.

Clarabumps · 03/11/2014 17:11

I've just googled 'what is creatine in skincare products?' and I got this
"A nitrogenous organic acid that occurs naturally in vertebrates." as one of the definitions. That doesn't sound great.

Clarabumps · 03/11/2014 17:13

That's a pain in the arse Seasalt if it's worked so well.

DameDiazepamTheDramaQueen · 03/11/2014 17:17

Meh, it's only like lanolin, I'll live with itGrin

Korean and Japanese lines of skincare have been using hyaluronic acid for a while (certainly longer than Indeed Labs).

I have a japanese one and the indeed labs one and prefer the former (cheaper too!)

You apply it and pat until absorbed and then apply moisturiser over the top.

If applying foundation and make up over, make sure the hyaluronic stuff is fully absorbed or it causes your make up to ball up / roll up.

It's fantastic stuff - the Asian brands use it as the 2nd step in a 2 step toning process (like a second toner) and makes my skin look dewy and more elastic looking (have had lots of comments since using it) Smile

ChrissieLatham · 04/11/2014 11:38

I'm in aldi now and can't find it! Confused

DameDiazepamTheDramaQueen · 04/11/2014 11:45

It was in with the specials, it wasn't with the skin care.

Got some today! God I hope this works! Grin
How soon before you saw results OP?

DameDiazepamTheDramaQueen · 04/11/2014 13:11

I've only used it for 2 days, but my skin feels nicely hydrated and it makes make up application easier. I'll continue to use it.

I use the Bravura Hyaluronic serum and it's brilliant. Makes a massive difference to the look & feel of my skin.
