Super comfortable Brogue Style Shoes

Looking for some really comfortable brogue style shoes, which have soles thick enough to be really supportive but are not too heavy and will allow me to do lots of walking in town. Black patent is probably my colour of choice.

Russell and Bromley are my usual default but I haven't found any perfect ones there so far.

I'm not usually a Clarks fan, but, if I could be convinced it ticked all my boxes, might be willing to give it a try.

I have several Fitflops and am pretty sure they'd be comfortable and cushioning, but can I take the clumpy-looking (frumpy?) sole? I know FF are a bit marmite-like on here.

Clarks ones are so comfortable; I do a 12 hour retail shift in them with very little discomfort.

I love the Clarkes ones. I have 2 pairs and regularly do a 1.5 mile walk to station and wear all day at work with no discomfort at all.

My DD has a pair of Startrite Burford brogues (ladies size 6.5) which she says are incredibly comfortable.

Thanks but I'm a 41 so probably too big for Startrite.

Well they just look like brogues but are £14 cheaper than the Clarks ones. But I do understand that labels are important .

Doh - silly me. Read 41 as age instead of shoe size. Sorry.

I've had two pairs of these though they may not be sturdier enough for what you need.

Startrite do go up to a size 8 and have different widths not that I bought a pair of leather brogues from a children's shop, oh no

I have these Clarks ones in navy suede (though they're more green). I'm not fussed on the Hamble brogues as they look a bit dainty but these are chunkier and extremely comfy. I'm not keen on those Geox ones if you're looking for a brogue - too trainery - but fine if you're after a comfy, flat shoe. The FF ones I'm not sure about - I'd probably prefer them in leather or suede as the patent looks a bit odd.

I have some Dune ones from last year that are super comfy - they don't have the same ones this year but they have a few different styles (Dune and Bertie brands) worth a look?
