Hi,

I was just wondering whether anyone had any tips on products for hiding dark circles under the eye?

I haven't yet found a great concealer to cover them and the ones i have tried , I still seem to look sleeeepy on photos! (I do actually get enough sleep, not sure why i have them!)

I do like the 'flawless' look so i don't know whether i am just expecting too much!

thankyouu :)

Thank you all for your great advice, I have read every comment and find them all really useful!!!

I went shopping today and went for the collection 2000 long lasting perfection concealor as it seems to be one of the cheapest with good ratings! I bought a real techniques egg shaped sponge to blend it in also as when I got my makeup done a few weeks ago by Mac the makeup artist said it was one of her fave items to blend her makeup in with under the eye!!!

I'm definately going to consider a corrector as well underneath! I get bad bags especially when I am due on (sorry A little too much info!) so once a month I feel like i look like a zombie! Hopefully this will do the trick!

I also recently bought the Mac prep and prime highlighter so the plan is to put that over the concealor to brighten the area!!!

I will let you know how I get on :)

Xx

The best correcting colours for the eye area are lavender concealer if you are white and fairly pale or yellow concealer if you have dark skin or tanned white skin.
Always use a skintone concealer over the top. So blend colour correcting one then skin tone and then foundation

this is driving me mad at the moment! i have invested in some dr nick lowe dark circle corrector and will see what that does, to cover i like the No7 perfect match concealer, it's a bit more powdery that the one i usually use and covers them quite well.

I use the Lemon-Aid for correcting then tinted moisturiser over the top.

I tried the Laura Mercier Secret camouflage mixed with moisturiser today, it didn't work as well as the Lemon Aid for me, but it was definitely better than using it on it's own, it is too cakey under the eyes. I use it for some redness either side of my nose normally and it is brilliant for that.

Watching with interest, i have had most success when i applied in the triangle way with echo tools concealer brush.

Every concealer I own looks better with this brush. Guys, when you say it cakes are you using too much product? A MUA showed me once how little she used and I was amazed

I bought a concealer brush yesterday, and applied the Boots Phwoarr concealer, the brush made a big difference, you can apply the concealer to the bits that need it, rather than ending up highlighting/brightening the bits that don't! Am impressed with Phwoarr.

currently I am using Clinique Concealer, try that

My under eye circles seem to be more brown!!!

This is after a shower with no makeup on!

I will try and do an after photo when I do my makeup again!!

After collection 2000 application + foundation underneath

Hmm what do you think?

I can still see them but not sure I will ever be able to get rid of them completely!

Pancakeflipper I agree with you, Windows of the Soul is amazing (although I sell Temple Spa products so pretty much have to think that) but the dark circles under my eyes literally lightened day after day using WOTS, it really worked wonders for me :)!!

I recently discovered Mac Prep & Prime, in 'light boost' shade. It's a pale yellow colour and neutralises my dark circles brilliantly. I don't need to use a concealer over the top. This is the second yellow product I've discovered in the last sixth months (the other is Max factor colour correcting crayon in yellow), they seem to be the answer to my dreadful panda circles.
