Epistick- stubbly regrowth!

Bought the rolling spring epistick thing a week ago to tackle tache and chin. It seemed to work well, much less painful than waxing and hardly any redness.

Now I think I know why- the hair has grown back much faster than before and is stubbly so it would seem that this thing snaps the hair off at skin level rather than pulling it out by the root.

How I wish I'd left the downy chin hairs be Sad

Urg, I feel your pain.

The epi stick was the last straw in the 'tash wars for me. Damned thing. First I tried ignoring the burgeoning fuzz. Then came bleaching a fucking stupid idea IME, plucking, threading then the epi stick, all just resulted in a load of work / pain / irritation and swift regrowth. Now I just shave the tash, it's so much easier, no pain and best of all no hassle with re-growth 'cause it's done and gone in 10 seconds. I've been doing it for the last couple of years and it certainly hasn't resulted in thicker growth or the like, just less faff and pain.

I use the spring thing but it does pull the hairs out at the roots in sure it does as it hurts when I do it
I've then got about three days before I feel the prickle of regrowth. I started using the spring because waxing in a salon wasn't lasting I had regrowth within a few days same as with the spring and waxing at home isn't as accurate for me so I'm left with patches close to my lips that it didn't catch.

I meant to add that the saloon waxing or threading was costing a small fortune as I ended up there nearly every week to be prickle free, so changed to using the spring as its so cheap to buy. But I can honestly say I haven't noticed any increase in hair thickness or growth.

Hmm- perhaps I'll give it another (tentative) go on the old tache. I really wanted it to work! Not sure I am brave enough for the razor...

I've been using the epistick most days for a couple of months quite happily, then I lost it (DS keeps calling it a ninja nunchuk and playing with it), so I haven't done it for about 10 days now, no stubbly feeling at all. Wish I could find it again.

I've never tried an Epistick, but I used to get stubbly regrowth when waxing because I had bad technique and was 'snapping' the hair, rather than dragging it out at the roots.

After another go I agree that the stubble was more than likely caused by user error. I definitely got more by the roots this time but it takes practice to get it right.
