I am coming around to zara one. I like its new HUGE search font and clear pictures.

I'm not sure if it's still there, but warehouse used to have a tool on the website where you could input your height, weight and measurements and see how a garment would look with your body shape.

It was a good idea in principal, but really didn't work, as the clothes looked terrible. You could only input basic measurements like bust, hips and waist. I think lots of the body detail was lost eg where your boobs sit, where your waist sits, broad or narrow shoulders, how long your legs are.

ThisBitchIsResting · 19/10/2014 19:38

I hate websites which, if you link to them and you're on a mobile, just take you to the front page.

Clarks have sorted this recently so well done them. Massimo Dutti need to sort it out.

mysteryfairy · 19/10/2014 20:04

Mint velvet is slightly improved from apple devices since the relaunch but still pretty dire. Gave up on an order yesterday as it wouldn't accept my change of address.

Not personal style but it infuriates me that loaf.com and sofa.com are both seemingly incompatible with safari - surely their target market would mostly be using apple devices!

I hate the way zara and whistles photograph clothes and I say that as someone who is over 5ft 10 and a size 8/10. I can't imagine how difficult it must be to get a sense of how the clothes will look on you if you are more averagely proportioned.

BettyMoody · 19/10/2014 20:37

Havha. I remember the warehouse one. Was indeed shit

Agree with thebitch

Also like storing card details. Like ones that don't enpty your basket. Yes you asos. Love annual delivery payment (yes you asos)

OP posts:
ThisBitchIsResting · 19/10/2014 21:00

Oh yes I love ones that store your basket. I don't mind if then I go to check out and it says oops sorry , sold out, it's just such a faff going back to find things again.

Not so sure about saving card details, too dangerous for me after a few wines on an evening browsing... Too easy

CecyHall · 19/10/2014 21:03

Yy to ASOS annual delivery payment- I love it so much.

But they keep letting me order stuff and then deciding it's not actually in stock and refunding me so that's annoying.

CointreauVersial · 19/10/2014 21:04

Easy to think of ones that do my head in, and top of the list is M&S.

If you do a filter for, say, jumpers available in a Size 10, it will show you all jumpers that have ever been available in a Size 10 even if that size is no longer in stock. So you get a massive list, but when you click into each one, it isn't available in your size. What on earth is the point of that??! Of course, it's made worse by the fact that it is shockingly, glacially slow to load, so clicking in and out of various items takes aaaages. And loads of items available in store aren't on the website; that also makes me cross.

Next is pretty good - snappy and fast, and easy to navigate.

BettyMoody · 19/10/2014 21:13

But next courier now so utterly complicated ive stopped using at all

OP posts:
ThisBitchIsResting · 19/10/2014 21:37

No Next is my worst! The way they want you to navigate by a weird catalogue view is beyond annoying. And it's hideous if you're on a mobile. Not even to mention their bloody directories that they keep sending even though I have told them a gazillion times not to.

flingingmelon · 19/10/2014 22:01

H&M. I do not want to buy a bunch of clothes for DS and have them turn up in dribs and drabs a week after he's grown too big for them.

Can't think of any I really like tbh Hmm

BettyMoody · 19/10/2014 22:03

Ooh ooh h and m. NO SEARCH TOOL?

OP posts:
BettyMoody · 19/10/2014 22:04

Agree next. You put in "pink t shirt" you get everything pink then have to select "t shirt ".

Categories v shite

BelindaAllWorkedOut · 19/10/2014 22:24

Next, Whistles, Massimo Dutti and M&S websites - diabolical.

H&M - not much better. Although, Betty - think they just brought in a search function.

Love stored baskets, good, big pictures, easily accessible product info, fast loading and no pop ups.

Loathe, too, product and pricing mismatches between in store and online.

tipsyloolah · 19/10/2014 22:29

Next is awful but & Other Stories win for the most dreadful one ever. Takes forever, keeps freezing, too slow to actually get anything in the sale, search doesn't work, and they do that PA thing of saying 'we're sorry you are disappointed' if you complain. And their delivery charge is shocking. Angry

BettyMoody · 19/10/2014 22:34

Delivery should be. : over 50£ free. Under that £3

OP posts:
TheBuskersDog · 20/10/2014 07:59

Agree with M and S, ever since they changed it a year or so ago it's crap, especially the size filter. If there is a sale and you go on lingerie, if a bra or knickers are available in non-sale colours they come up when you put your size in- I just want to see if the sale ones are available in my size.
I used to use it quite a lot but avoid now as it's too much like hard work.

BettyMoody · 20/10/2014 08:44

Often delivery to my door is cheaper than bloody parking in town. Local councils never think of that

OP posts:
lurkingaround · 20/10/2014 09:49

M&S is terrible.
Hate Whistles.
Quite like Gap and Asos, straightforward, does what it says on the tin
Zara ok, but they could do better on their description.
I don't mind &otherstories, good descriptions. Resent+++ the delivery fee.
Cos is similar, ok, but the prisoner cell block H look (to paraphrase another poster Wink) is off-putting. As is the delivery fee. Grr.
H&M dire. I never buy online from them.
Topshop: put the bloddy length of skirts and dresses on your website. V annoying.

Love stored baskets.

By the by Betty, I did myself a spot of clothes dyeing at the weekend. Trews like new again. Fab.

desperatehousewife21 · 20/10/2014 10:35

I HATEEEE it when I'm browsing through say, ankle boots and there are a lot of them. one catches my eye so I click on it to have a better look then decide no its not what I want so I click to go back to the list of ankle boots id been scrolling through but instead of it going back to where I clicked on the boot it goes right back to THE FUCKING TOP OF THE LIST!! ARGHH this has happened loads recently as I've been looking for boots.

I gave up with some websites Sad

lurkingaround · 20/10/2014 10:49

Oh agree, desperate, that is frustrating.
My online browsing has been severely hampered by the awful horrible terrible iOS 8, AngrySad.

Stokey · 20/10/2014 12:02

Ones that you can't search by size or availability - Boden I'm looking at you.

It's so annoying having to click on each thing only to find the colour you want has an 8-week wait or is only available in a size 16.

msfreud · 20/10/2014 12:48

I hate those Boden emails that ask if you got interrupted because you have stuff in your basket and you haven't checked out yet. Especially when it includes things that were once in my basket and I then took out after changing my mind.

BlairWaldorfLovesShopping · 20/10/2014 14:43

Agree with desperate re scrolling back.

I love sites that give you exact measurements - NAP, The outnet, my-wardrobe. Makes me so much more likely to shop there and makes other sites look stuck in the dark ages by comparison. But I understand it's probably not feasible for e.g. asos who have v high stock turnover.

I also like sites with reviews (all Arcadia shops do this)
