Help! Chin whiskers!

I have upper lip hair and chin whiskers, on either side along my jaw. I currently pluck them but the patch is growing wider and the hairs look dark before they break the surface.

Am I doing it wrong? Is plucking making it worse? Wax strips don't work as the roots are really big and my current brand of hair removal cream doesn't touch them

Reluctant to laser as new ones keep popping up and I think it would get expensive

Any advice before I pluck myself into 5 o'clock shadow!?

Help!

I feel your pain. I shaved/plucked from being around 16 to mid-20's and was so conscious of my '5 oclock shadow.' I had laser treatment and was hair-free till about 2 years ago (I'm nearly 54). It was absolutely liberating not to be worried about it.

With the menopause, some of the hair started to come back - mainly on/under my chin and sides of jaw and lower cheeks. Nowhere near as bad as first time round but every day new buggers seemed to pop up out of nowhere

I have booked 8 treatments at Skin which works out at £500. Which I KNOW is a lot. But if you can afford it or save up for it, I really recommend it. I've had 3 treatments so far and already it's thinner and lighter apart from a couple of more resistant ones. Waxing and threading didn't help at all as it seemed to grow back as fast as if I'd shaved/plucked it.

I think over the years laser equipment and ways of doing it have improved and I really think 8 should sort it in my case. It's not as uncomfortable as first time either.

I may try and save. I hate it as I miss one and then it's an inch long in the blink of an eye! They are so blooming thick and the roots so huge, it's like pulling teeth
