Which of these three boots do you prefer?

Can't decide - what does the MN jury think?

these - cheaper but not leather - but good reviews;
these; or
these?

Or none of the above? To wear with skinny jeans / combats / skirt & leggings as a slightly smarter alternative to hiking boots (which is what atm I wear with almost everything in winter time). . .

Found another option now - I do rather like the buckle ones, though.

or these?

I totally get where you are coming from but the last two you linked to are minging.
Out of the first three the third pair are the best. Sorry to be blunt.

Yep, pretty much word for word what I think.

TheHoundsBitch · 15/10/2014 20:20

They all look like toddler shoes except the first ones, Rocket dog boots are fairly comfy ime. I bet you can find them half price somewhere too.

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 15/10/2014 20:29

Sorry but the latest two are even worse than the first three - they are really, really, astonishingly bad (imvho).

Milmingebag · 15/10/2014 20:31

I have found Rocket Dog boots disintegrated quickly inside. Not that comfy either.

Fly London are comfortable and durable if you go for the rubber soled ones. I wore my mraf boots today and they were excellent. I have foot probs so am extremely picky about boots.

Have you looked at CAT biker boots? They are well made and yet chunky/casual.

Milmingebag · 15/10/2014 20:35

here is a chunky pair.

Not so chunky but really nice are the Kendra ones.

TheMasterNotMargarita · 15/10/2014 20:51

I have a pair of calf.length Bench biker boots that I am trying to find a link to but I guess they are older than I thought....

Takver · 15/10/2014 20:55

I usually like Bench stuff, so will have a look. I think I want a bit shorter than calf, but a bit taller than ankle, if that makes sense.

HolgerDanske · 15/10/2014 22:11

I would tend toward the second pair I think.

PrimalLass · 16/10/2014 10:11

I just sold a brand new cream pair of those Bench Sarette boots. They are big, so size accordingly.

msfreud · 16/10/2014 11:03

I like the Fly London boots. Wouldn't buy non-leather boots like these, they are going to be uncomfortable and never really get soft and worn in like leather does.

Takver · 17/10/2014 09:59

Just to update, I've bought the fly london 3 buckle ones, will see what they are like!

What about these?

hillbilly · 17/10/2014 14:32

Sorry did not see that you have already bought some!

Doobigetta · 17/10/2014 15:54

The second pair. I bought non-leather fake Timberlands once. Never again. My feet sweated like, well, feet in plastic boots. If it was even vaguely warm they boiled to death, and if it was freezing, the sweat pooled into little icy puddles. Nice.

EvilEmperorZurg · 17/10/2014 16:04

Hands down either of the Fly ones. I have several pairs of Fly boots and shoes and they are excellent quality. The Rocket Dog ones aren't as nice in reality (I tried them on having found them on the internet and thought I loved them) I have a pair of Fly boots with straps like in the third picture and they are very sturdy plus a bit quirky.

I like my your taste Wink

LeoandBoosmum · 17/10/2014 16:38

Can't say I'm keen on any of those... I think they're all too masculine looking, sorry.

MaryBerrysLostCherry · 17/10/2014 18:55

Tried on number 3 last year. They were really hard.

Takver · 18/10/2014 10:50

OK, boots arrived (no. 3) - I'm really pleased with them, they're comfy and look a wee bit smarter/ more interesting than my normal footwear. I'm not finding them hard,, MaryBerry, but maybe because I'm wearing thick socks with them. The buckles are a bit fiddly, but I reckon they'll loosen up.

Takver · 18/10/2014 10:51

LeoandBoosmum - they probably are quite masculine looking, I guess I like quite a unisex look (fighting back against my lack of size Grin ) so that's ok for me.

Glad you got something you like.
If they are comfy you will wear them forever...it feels good to buy something nice like that.
