Good websites for inspiration

Ive spent the last 5 years wearing uniform/no makeup/jewellery etc for work and working very long (self employed) hours - so my wardrobe has deteriorated to a couple of dressy evening outfits, evening slobs and a few DIY clothes.

Now, I'm changing jobs (and significantly reducing my hours) so can reinvent myself image-wise, but I have no idea where to start!

Which websites should I be looking at for ideas? I'm in my early 40s.

Thanks

Pinterest! (you need to make an account to use it though)

doesmybumlook40.blogspot.co.uk/

Blogs like
Does my bum look 40
Poppys style
Susie so so

I don't necessarily go out and buy what they do, but I see how they put outfits together.

Definitely Pinterest- it's addictive though!

I'm already a pinstrest addict, but have never used it for clothing - what serach terms are good?

Pinterest neutral clothing or pick a season and look at how that is put together.

What is your colouring like?

WakeyCakey45 · 16/10/2014 09:45

My colouring is getting lighter! I've always been very dark haired, but grey is creeping in rapidly (I use a semi-permanent colour) and my skin tone (fairly pale) is lightening, too.

From what I've seen so far, jeans with boots seem to be a very popular choice for my age group - I'm not keen; are there any alternatives? I prefer skirts/heels to be honest!

To find inspiration on pinterest I either search for items I've recently bought (to look for styling ideas) - helps to use the word "outfit" though, otherwise you might just get single items. If I am really bored I will browse through the entire women's fashion section. Sometimes I search for street style but it can be hit or miss!

Look at kibbe soft classic on pinterest.

I'm a bit like Blair on pinterest

I tend to look for things I'm thinking of wearing and what to wear them with. So midi skirt leather or skirt with hi tops.

Or colours so burgundy and navy outfits for example.

For smarter clothes, Belinda's blog and pins are brilliant theworkwearedit.com
