What'll kill it that I might have in the house?

Apple cider vinegar! Zing.

lucysmam · 13/10/2014 19:40

I'll go check the cupboard when I next get up. Don't think I have any....

I wonder if normal malt vinegar would have the same effect. It's probably a bit more stinky. The idea is it tones and cleanses at the same time, pulling the gunk out in much the same way as magnesium sulphate does.

Do you have any tea tree oil?
Any spirits? Dabbing it with something like vodka will dry it out at a push.

lucysmam · 13/10/2014 19:56

No tea tree oil. Or vodka. Only alcohol in the house is a lonely can of beer in the fridge.

GRRR, I'm going to be stuck with the beast aren't I?!

Could try the malt vinegar I suppose...I have some distilled vinegar too that might not smell so bad.

Sudocrem? Toothpaste?

Or drink the can of beer and ignore the spot ;)

WerewolfBarMitzvah · 13/10/2014 20:29

Toothpaste will dry it out.

And when it comes to a head, sound the klaxon and we'll come a-running.

lucysmam · 13/10/2014 20:41

Grin iwantgin...good plan Wink

toothpaste it is since there's nothing else useful in the house Confused

aspirin? aspirin mask and take a dose of zinc.

kaykayblue · 14/10/2014 11:48

Honestly? The best thing is to just leave it well alone. If you have sensitive skin then using toothpaste on it will literally burn you.

lucysmam · 14/10/2014 12:00

I have aspirin in the house.

Forgot about the toothpaste on my way to bed...it's still there but has gone Angry

I find castor oil really good for calming the inflammation down, just dab a bit on the spot!
