Any swimmers with big boobs got a good cossie recommendation?

I have a Freya Active soft swimsuit - I liked it so much I actually bought another one, been wearing them both now for a while and they are fading, as they do (I swim 3-4 times a week).

Also I have lost weight and the 32G needs to be a 30G. Trouble is I can't find it on t'internet for less than about £45 which is more than I want to pay really.

So has anyone found a reasonably priced fab swimming costume for the big boobed who actually want to swim? I've had the Freya x 2 for quite a while and cannot recall what I had before, but I love how it fits and supports.

Take a look on Amazon. Shortly before my holiday I got a Curvy Kate tankini top and bottoms (always go for seperates due to hourglass shape) for £25 the set which is an absolute bargain, especially for a J cup!

I find wiggle site very good for swim wear/ sports gear. Not sure on which ones are best as I ve tiny boobs. But good for deals on swim wear and always prompt delivery.
I have a few speedo suits that have inbuilt bra / support.
have tried plenty of brands of swimwear - find speedo/ zoggs/ maru terms of lasting / holding shape to be the best for regular use. You get what you pay for in terms of some of the cheaper brands (ie they stretch and become see through and billowy after a few swims).
(I swim train 4-5 times/week so my cossies need to be resistant and I be tried most brands!)

Oh and always rinse out with gentle shampoo/ soap afterwards and wrong dry- roll up into towel and hang out- don't use those spinning machines that dry them in the pool, they really shorten the life of your cossie I find . Grin

Thanks ladies. Had a look on Wiggle but can't see any bra-sized cossies. Can't find anything that looks likely on amazon but you always get so many answers it's a bit daunting.

Was wondering if anyone had a specific recommendation for a costume that fitted well for bigger boobs?

I have this one and find it really comfortable and flattering. I have had the same style in a couple of different colours over the years. Figleaves usually sell the same one but I couldn't find it there just now:

I always wear underwired costumes/bikinis. Have you tried the Freya Fever Plunge Swimsuit?

clary · 07/10/2014 00:25

I've never gone for underwire but maybe it is the way forward.

That Freya plunge one is deffo a nono, I don't want to be popping out in the pool ;)

I love zoggs. I've never had to buy a new one because the chlorine has eaten it, only because I fancy a new one!

Eminybob · 07/10/2014 08:22

I've just ordered a new swimming cossie from bravissimo. They have several in the sale at under £30.

I don't know what the fit is like, I've only just measured myself using the bra guru rule and have ordered a 36H whereas I have been wearing a 38F.

I'll let you know when it arrives.

solosolong · 07/10/2014 08:48

Personally I wouldn't go for underwired for serious swimming. I wear them on the beach or for messing around in the sea, but in the pool I swim around 2k at a time and definitely find non-underwired more comfortable.
That may just be personal preference though.
As long as you get one with decent support and the right size you should be fine.

Twinklestein · 07/10/2014 17:27

2k 'kin ell. I do a few lengths, I'm just wanting to look hot mainly...

Madaboutthrows · 07/10/2014 18:08

Try Zoggs

clary · 07/10/2014 22:13

solo that's what I thought, can't imagine doing 30 lengths of front crawl in an underwired bra.

Bravissimo have a Zoggs suit in my size (awkward 30G) for £32... has mixed reviews but I might give it a go.

OP posts:
solosolong · 07/10/2014 22:32

You'll have to try it and see. I have found my Zoggs one really comfortable and it has lasted for ages. It's the second one I have had of the same style. I am sure you can send stuff back to Bravissimo if it doesn't feel comfortable on though.

LikeASoulWithoutAMind · 07/10/2014 23:00

Lots in the Bravissimo sale - they are very good on returns so don't worry about that. It's worth giving them a call if you're not sure, they are really helpful and know their stock really well.

I've got this one but not sure it's really what you're after. Fab fit and very supportive though.

clary · 07/10/2014 23:05

Trouble is my size is 30G which is either only available in small numbers or I don't know what, because it is really hard to find (for bras as well :()

Only one sports one in Bravissimo sale.

Oooh {{http://www.bravissimo.com/products/swimwear/sports-swimwear/sydney-sports-swimsuit/black-pink/zs105bpk/?back=30&cup=g&level=1 this one]] is nice tho, may have to hunt for a bravissiomo code :)

OP posts:
solosolong · 07/10/2014 23:13

That looks nice. What about Figleaves - have you looked there? They are normally really good with big sizes.

clary · 07/10/2014 23:31

Yes, Figleaves do lots of speedo cosies but not cup sized... the only cup sized ones they have are the zoggs one that is cheaper at Bravissimo and the Freya underwired one, which I want to avoid.

Might just buy that new Zoggs one as it looks really good, just £45 is a bit mad!

OP posts:
solosolong · 07/10/2014 23:52

Oh that's odd. I have definitely bought cup-sized ones from Figleaves in the past. I had a really nice Triumph one from them, which they sadly stopped selling.
I just had a quick look. They do have more in your size, but maybe not anything all that suitable - if you look under DD+ swimwear and then put in your size there are some more that come up.

Skinheadmermaid · 08/10/2014 00:32

Speedo do great ones with longer legs similar to what the olympic swimmers wear. As i have to size up in costumes to fit my butt the top tends to be loose and can easily slide down when swimming, but not with this one, its completely secure. I'd recommend it highly to someone with a bigger bust. Its quite high necked.

Kaffiene · 08/10/2014 07:17

I am a 32GG and swim longish distances. I find bra sized swimmers end up rubbing. I have this in a couple of different colours. Even though it has a shelf support I find it supportive enough. m.simplyswim.com/products/Speedo/EssentialWinnerClipback-BlackandRed.aspx
