What's best short term and long term solutions? Since having baby for some reason my tash has gone darker HmmBlush

I get mine waxed when I have my eyebrows and nails done every 3 weeks. It's quite fair so probably doesn't need doing but I hate it when you catch a glimpse of it in the rear view mirror, it always looks bad then lol

i has mine lasered a few years ago. I do have to tweeze the odd few that are near a mole that's just above my lip, because the lasering works best on pale skin with dark hairs, so it didn't work well near the mole.

Lasering only kills the hairs that are there - hormonal changes can mean that new ones grow. So I'll have to see what happens during the menopause, and maybe have it done again when everything's settled down.

(I also had my bikini line and armpits done, which are fab, because there's no 5 o'clock shadow that you get with shaving.)

ElephantsNeverForgive · 04/10/2014 07:22

Me, I just steal DHs razor.

lavenderhoney · 04/10/2014 23:30

If you bleach, the hairs are still there! At the wrong angle, in the wrong light, you'll have a tash! Or are they really short? Just curious as I don't let mine grow at all- straight to get anything off!

fluffydressinggown · 04/10/2014 23:34

I wax it myself with strips from the pound shop - quick and cheap.

WhoKnowsWhereTheTimeGoes · 04/10/2014 23:38

The epistick is brilliant, a bit ouchy but strangely addictive, if you do it for a couple of minutes every morning it really keeps on top of it.

70isaLimitNotaTarget · 05/10/2014 00:25

Wax - I use the hot wax, goes in the microwave, smear it on with a plastic spoon the special heat sensor wooden spatula that I never lose Blush apply strip, rub hard then whisk it off.

Remember that top lip will be red , don't venture out for a couple of hours.
Lip feels creepily smooth Grin

Cannot think why waxing thins the skin, the top lip has to be one of the most mobile areas of skin on the body

CantThinkOfAGoodUserName · 08/10/2014 13:45

Well I don't know what I did to upset you MNetters that said about an epistick. It arrived today (thanks for link up thread for £1) and It felt like a million little strong people was pinching me at the same time! Hmm
OUCH was what I said In a polite translation

Waxing here - I've done it myself a couple of times with some kind of weird wax pen, but it's nowhere near as good as a hot wax at the salon (with a keener eye than me for any little stragglers).

sweetheart · 08/10/2014 15:50

Am I the only one that just gives it a quiz run over with a razor in the shower?

WanderingTrolley1 · 08/10/2014 15:55

Razor or pluck.

Middleagedmotheroftwo · 08/10/2014 16:00

I bleach too. Every 3-4 weeks, with Jolene.

But what worries me is who will do it for me when I'm old and in a nursing home. I don't want to be the old lady in the corner with the moustach and hairy chin! I must have a word with DDs about that - get them to promise to come in and tidy me up every so often.

StepDoor · 08/10/2014 16:02

I use veet wax strips or get them threaded.

wreckingball · 08/10/2014 16:04

Oh God yes, the nursing home moustachioed ladies.
That'll be me then. Sad
I use Nair facial brush on and tweezers.

CantThinkOfAGoodUserName · 08/10/2014 16:23

Haha that's why I never wantsd to shave etc as I thought id be the one with hairy tash in the nursing home too! I thought that shaving would make it come bqck twice as bad!
