I can be thin if I want to be.

Plain and simple.
And I do so want to be thin(er)

I started on the Nivea last night Grin

MrsMinton · 02/10/2014 23:10

I bought some at the weekend Grin

I've been eyeing up the babyliss big hair this week, will it work on my long extra thick hair that doesn't hold curls?

netty36 · 03/10/2014 01:51

Babyliss big hair is fabulous
And the tache twirly springy thing and whistles tube skirts and hot steaming flannels and hydracualron cream.... How did I manage without mn??

WhoKnowsWhereTheTimeGoes · 03/10/2014 06:50

yes also to the tache twirly springy thing (epistick) I love mine.

BBH - mine was fine when my hair was shoulder length but I don't use it now the hair is longer, apart from the very rare occasion when I need it to look super groomed I prefer my natural curls. It loosens them out to big gentle waves which don't really suit my everyday casual style, I end up looking a bit Loose Women.

Fabulassie · 03/10/2014 06:54

Babyliss Big Hair, vaping, bra sizing

areyoutheregoditsmemargaret · 03/10/2014 10:50

what is couch to 5k?

WhoKnowsWhereTheTimeGoes · 03/10/2014 11:23

It's a plan for getting non runners up to being able to run 5k, I've done it and it is very good. I'm beginning to think my whole life is dictated by MN!

areyoutheregoditsmemargaret · 03/10/2014 12:07

Ooh, shall check it out - am just starting to run and wondering why I didn't do it 20 years ago!

Another Couch to 5k convert. For me, the best thing about it is that if for any reason you can't run for a few weeks, you can just drop back down a level or two and build back up, and before you know it, you're back to where you were. You don't get that 'urgh, I'm too unfit now I might as well pack it in' feeling. Plus all the support threads on MN are very inspiring and supportive

Vaseline on eyelashes - does seem to work.

awsomer · 03/10/2014 15:37

Vaseline on eyelashes?! Hmm

wildfig · 03/10/2014 15:55

yup, little bit of vaseline on eyelashes at bedtime has made my lashes less brittle and prone to falling out. Tried it out on one eye for a month to see if it made a noticeable difference and it did.

BabCNesbitt · 03/10/2014 15:56

Yy to Couch to 5k.

ETI hairdryers (when you can't quite bring yourself to spend £80+ on a Parlux.)

House of Colour!

TheMagicToyshop · 03/10/2014 16:03

Marvala nail hardener - combined with a good cuticle moisturising routine my nails are so long and strong and polish chips less because they don't bend. Cheap on amazon too.

KoalaDownUnder · 03/10/2014 16:11

La Roche-Posay Effaclar Duo Plus.

Has improved my skin unbelievably.

ApocalypseNowt · 03/10/2014 16:17

Long cardies do not hide my fat arse and hips. They just add an extra layer of bulky material and make it look even bigger.

nomorecrumbs · 03/10/2014 16:18

House of Colour
Giving up moisturiser
No silicones
MN bra intervention

Scarletohello · 03/10/2014 16:23

Definitely ditching the sulphates and silicones in my hair care products, has made a massive difference!

MarieJeanne · 03/10/2014 16:28

vaseline on fingernails is good too

CareBearWithFangs · 03/10/2014 16:31

Bra intervention - I'm a 28 F not a 32 D.

Double cleanse.

Spend more on less regarding clothes.

TheMagicToyshop · 03/10/2014 17:19

Oh yes how could I forget bra intervention, amazing stuff. Does anyone else feel like they are becoming a bore constantly telling their female friends that they're not actually all 38Bs and 36Cs?!

WhoKnowsWhereTheTimeGoes · 03/10/2014 17:21

I can't say it has ever occurred to me to discuss my bra size with anyone in real life!
