Where to buy men's slim fit shirts?

Dp is size 32 waist and is struggling to find shirts that fit. He has always bought them from M&S but complains the sizes are getting bigger so even their slim fit is built to accommodate a bit of tummy. He only wears plain shirts, so no patterns or needing cufflinks etc.
Any ideas?

here

Wasn't sure if the previous link worked!

Zippyandbungle · 30/09/2014 09:10

Just bought some really nice slim fit ones at Zara for DH. In fact he needed to size up as they were so slim fitting. Fab to wash and iron too.

MillwoldGold · 30/09/2014 09:11

TM Lewin?

LikeASoulWithoutAMind · 30/09/2014 09:12

Top Man

LizardBreath · 30/09/2014 09:12

Charles tyrwhitt are v good.

antimatter · 30/09/2014 09:13

Both Next and Burton have some. My ds is slim and XS fit well for school shirts.

Dumpylump · 30/09/2014 09:17

Next or TopMan...they're great for teenage skinny ds's shirts for school!

ilovehotsauce · 30/09/2014 09:21

Zara

FestiveRoad · 30/09/2014 09:22

YY to Tyrwhitt's. I think they do 3 types of fitting.
Also Landsend

Theas18 · 30/09/2014 09:24

Dunno but I'll look in Zara for DS next time.

He's had some Next that have been OK but he does like his shirts slim fit which , with a 16.5 rugby players neck isn't easy.

We bought tyrwytt ones and had them taken in for interviews etc.

Be wary. if you look at the measurements the " tailored" or " slim" still have the same chest measurements as the standard!

RiverTam · 30/09/2014 09:25

DH gets most if his shirts in Sisley (Benetton). I think if you stick to Spanish and Italian brands you can't go wrong.

pictish · 30/09/2014 09:26

H&M and Topman definitely sell slim fit shirts. I know because my partner hates them, despite being a 30 waist, and in those two shops I can't find anything but!

pictish · 30/09/2014 09:27

That partner would be my husband. I have no idea why I called him my partner there.

Same as mine. Mine can't stand feeling 'encased'.
I never buy shirts for him any more as his work have changed the IT dept from being shirt and tied, to being in combats and polo...seeing as they spend a lot of their time crawling around under desks.
Dh was so glad.

pictish · 30/09/2014 09:33

And before anyone tells me off for playing wifey and buying his shirts for him - I am at the shops anyway.
To balance things out he buys my Always Ultra at Tesco when he's in getting baccy. Smile

madamweasel · 30/09/2014 09:34

Another Charles Tyrwhitt here. We buy a few 'extra slim fit' when they're on sale

DataColour · 30/09/2014 09:42

My DH is very slim, a 30 waist and washboard stomach (very keen cyclist) and buys is work shirts from the Primark slim fit range. They have been the best fit for him...and only about 5 each. He is also tall and these shirts have proper length arms and sometimes in other slim fit ranges he finds the arms too short.

hellsbellsmelons · 30/09/2014 09:54

Ted Baker do some lovely shirts and they are generally slim fit.
Or you can get them in John Lewis

cheminotte · 30/09/2014 10:07

Wow lots of ideas thanks. Not even heard of all of them.

H gets most of his work shirts from Charles Tyrwhitt too (extra slim fit), but before that he used to use Thomas Pink, but their prices have gone a bit ridiculous. For casual, he tends to go with Abercrombie & Fitch.

iwantgin · 30/09/2014 12:17

my DH has this problem too. He is slim but takes a larger collar size.

Next Slim Fit are often okay - but even some of those are too roomy around the middle.

Most recently he bought some work shirts from Debenhams - I forget which brand - but in the formal shirt range- marketed as Slim Fit.

boobyooby · 30/09/2014 12:19

Pink are very good, and last for years.

FrenchPooCrisis · 30/09/2014 14:27

Charles Tyrwhitt as mentioned above my DH is slim and very hard on clothes but CT Slim fit are best - also good for jumpers etc but don't every pay full price. I swear there is a deal on at the moment but I think I chucked the direct marketing bumpf.
