I am absolutely desperate and I need saved from granny soft bras!

I have been and been measured, in Debenhams, and House of Fraser and a local independent department store.

They all say I'm a 34D.

but every bra I've bought the wire is digging in to the side of my left boob under my arm. It is fricking agony and driving me insane.

What the fuck size of bra do I need? How do I check!? Help!

I had to buy a soft bra yesterday like a sports bra because it's so sore Sad

Can you measure yourself according to this guide and then post the measurements?

thebetterbracampaign.blogspot.co.uk/p/fitting-advice.html?m=1

What bra was it?

StatisticallyChallenged · 30/09/2014 08:30

I'm going to take a wild bet that if they all say 34D, they're all still using +4. I'd also guess your left boob might be slightly bigger than your right.

Measure yourself according to the link SF posted and we'll go from there.
Shall we take bets? What do you reckon Sorrel? I'll guess base measurement of 30FF.

HazleNutt · 30/09/2014 08:45

what bras have you bought? Could it be that they are all the same brand and the wires are too high and narrow for you? I get this issue with Panache bras - have you tried Freya or Curvy Kate, that have wider, shallower wires?

papercliplover · 30/09/2014 20:01

sorry - I'm just in and I can't find a fricking tape.

they are all 34 D various makes - panache, triumph and marks and sparks

I will measure as soon as I locate a tape .....

WowserBowser · 30/09/2014 21:08

Yeah - defo give it a go. I was wearing an uncomfortable 34C and now am a 30F. Sounds HUGE, but it's not.

papercliplover · 30/09/2014 21:10

I seriously cannot stick having bra wires digging in to the side of my boob. IT IS SERIOUSLY SORE!!!!

OK will head to town on Saturday and try on those sizes and report back

Thanks all Grin Thanks

OMG and 3 fitters managed to put you in 34D and claimed it was a good fit?? Were they all blind by any chance?

papercliplover · 30/09/2014 21:21

I had side boobs in every bra Sad

SorrelForbes · 30/09/2014 22:05

Sounds like the wires and cups are much too small. Remember to scoop.

StatisticallyChallenged · 30/09/2014 22:11

Ach, I wasn't too far off for a blind guess!

I had a granny soft bra on today and it was so nice not to have digging in-age. I can't wait to get out on Saturday and try on bras :)

Now to measure DD ....

Late to the party as usual but would like to add a little if I may Grin

If you can get to a decent department store, try some Freya or Fantasie styles. Having side boob and digging often indicates that the cups are not wide enough to reach to the outer edges of the breast tissue, assuming that increasing cup sizes doesn't resolve the problem. Those brands often have wider set cups, particularly the Freya Patsy half cup and the Fantasie Salsa if you're trying to avoid granny styles.
