If you are late 30's and have a fairly casual style, where do you shop?

The shops where I live are generic High St. Next, DP, Oasis, Topshop, RI, Zara.

I need new clothes (jeans, leggings, tops, jumpers, shirts etc) but can't find anything I like.

Budget not huge. High street prices basically! But I need to find some brands that I like online. No idea where to start.

39 here. GAP, Seasalt, jigsaw, white company, Fatface, Quba mainly

Everyday stuff ASOS, non garish Boden, top shop, Zara, primark

For dresses / special occasions weddings Coast, Reiss

Before DD (ah, I suspect I may never be a size 8 again :( ) I wore mainly stuff from: Gap, Urban Outfitters, LK Bennett, Jigsaw, Uniqlo, Muji, ASOS, occasional knitwear from French Connection and the odd bit of Boden, Banana Republic and Anthropologie.

Now, a couple of years later, significantly poorer and several sizes bigger, I mostly shop at - Gap. I literally can't find anywhere that does nice, elegant but reasonably-priced clothing if you're over a size 14. The current jolie-laide "ugly boxy 80s textured" look is not helping either. I have literally nothing to wear to work and all the clothes this season are NASTY and they were so nice a couple of years ago before I got sucked into the baby vortex! What happened?
