How often do you feel ripped off after having treatments?

I hate even saying it really. It sounds boasting in this climate. I booked a 1 3/4 treatment with Aveda today. Pay day I thought I'd treat myself. It was £100. The facial was lovely and relaxing. The back massage was far too soft even though I said I need a lot of pressure when she asked me. It's a little thing but it says in the brochure that a foot bath is included at the beginning of the treatment. I've never had that before and it would've been quite nice I suppise. I finished 20 minutes early. That's annoying isn't it? I'm pissed off I never said anything but the receptionist asked me if everything was ok infront of the therapist. Do I just put it down to experience?

I had a similar experience at a spa I use regularly.

I sent a nice email saying how disappointed I was. The room was freezing, she left the lights on, started late and finished early.
They asked me to go back for a complimentary treatment of my choice

Definately call or email and say you were disappointed. That's a lot of money to end up dissatisfied

We'll it says it includes a consultation so I suppose they will include that in the time. I will do. The facial was perfect but I felt slightly ripped off.

I've had this before. Just in a local salon, not a big name one, but my supposed 1 1/4 hour facial actually only lasted for half an hour. I was pretty skint at the time and had saved for a bit in order to treat myself. I was so angry that I had to just march out of the place and not mention it, because I was afraid that I might shout at the staff and be unreasonable. But I voted with my feet and have never given them my business again - there are plenty of competitors these days who will actually provide the service you're paying for.

I would email and explain just how you have here - just be polite and say how you didn't say anything at the time as you felt out on the spot (I would have done exactly the same). Worst they can do is ignore you or be snotty and you know not to use them again and at best you might get some of your money back or a voucher or something.

Don't feel guilty about treating yourself it's your money you can buy what you like with it but it is a lot of money to be left disappointed.

They replied to say I was given a hot towel treatment t on my feet instead of the bath Hmm I can't say I'd noticed! and 15 minutes was the consultation. Which was actually a quick conversation whilst she sorted her equipment out, anyway they are giving me 15minutes extra next time. I hope no-one got into trouble.

I'd have done just the same! Not surprised you feel short-changed. I'd email them and say this, see what they suggest.

Just email back saying 'what next time?'

If you were unhappy with the service you were unhappy and you paid for the foot thing and they changed it?

Find it surprising rather than put themselves out for half an hour to put it right they'll risk you not going back and telling all your friends it was crap.

Don't deserve the business.
