Please help me perk up my dyed, fluffy and tired looking hair!

It's dyed a couple of shades lighter, so nothing drastic. It's also been recently cut. However, it just looks 'tired.' Am probably going to go back to natural colour as sick of roots (am very fussy re them) but want to try and get it as healthy as possible, without cutting more off, first.
Any recommendations?

Buy a tub of pure coconut oil from Tesco. Slather hair in it, cover your pillow in a towel and sleep. Wash it out in the morning and condition as normal - ta dah! No more fluffy.

Oooh, that sounds remarkably simple! It looks fluffy like it's in need of a cut (which it isn't) unless I blow dry it (which I rarely have time or inclination to do.)

Some similar advice- my hair looks frizzy most of the time. I've realised it needs moisturiser ! Have bought a light spray in oil from Boots - yellow bottle called something like Morocco oil.

I would advise pure coconut or even olive oil (I've used sunflower oil before!) as hair oils sold in likes of Boots have all sorts of other ingredients like silicones which while they make your hair cosmetically shiny, they coat your hair in plastic which prevents moisture from soaking in properly. Do weekly coconut oil treatments, and maybe every other wash use a styling oil on the ends once it's dry, will make it look lovely Smile don't use them too often as the silicone builds up and won't wash out properly, leaving your hair dull and fluffy again.

Doesn't Olive oil, or similar, make it slightly waterproof and therefore a pain to wash out? I know you're not meant to but I do wash my hair most days as it's very fine, and thick, and I feel as if it looks grotty near the scalp very quickly.
Am currently sat with it in a plait and Aussie 3 minute combed in. Oil / moisturiser sounds promising

coconut oil is great, rub the shampoo in before you add water with any oil you use and it will wash out better
Macadamia Flawless 6-in-1 250ml is an unusual experience but is really lovely on my dry hair, you massage it in as its dry add a bit of water and leave for 5 mins then rinse, its the only shampoo I have used that feels like I have conditioned when I rinse it out.

Coconut oil is worth a try. It did absolutely nothing for me other than make it even more tangled and straw like.

I've had the most success with Ojon treatment masque (the light one as the original smells of stale cigarettes). I melt a spoonful in the microwave and bung it right through my dry hair and put a plastic bag over my scalp to keep the heat in. Leave it for as long as possible and then shampoo twice and condition as normal.

Afterwards all the frizzing had gone and my hair actually had a shine as well as looked thicker and better. I do it once a week. It's not cheap but I'm on my second jar now and really like what it does for my candy floss, frizzy tangly, thin hair.
