Moving on from Topshop Jeans

Hi all
I love topshop jeans but they're getting too fashionable/I'm getting too old for them. I desperately need to find a replacement. Can you help me?

I have always loved Topshop jeans because you can buy them with proper waist and leg measurements, so I can always find one with a nice fit. I also love them because they never lose their shape and go saggy round the bottom (my absolute pet hate).

But I can't face high waists, washed out greys and holey knees. It's too much of a return to my youth. I like their skinnies, and I would love to get a bootcut pair again...

They need to be decent quality - I must be forever on my knees with my toddler as I start getting holes in the knees after 6 months (this never happened pre-DC), but Topshop prices (approx. £50/pair) are really the top of my budget. And to be honest, at that price, I would have been preferred them to last a bit longer!

Please help!

H&M? They do length and waist measurement sizing (I'm in Switzerland but assume uk is same). And have loads of different styles, skinny in various waist heights, boot cut, different colours.

I also recently bought a pair of black jeans in mango which I love.

Gap are pretty good for denim at the moment. Or you could look for some of the slightly pricier brands on eBay/sale - J Brand are amazing for not going baggy (though v expensive), and I think Levis have come up with their own non-baggying fabric (haven't tried it though).

Scottish what are H&M and Mango like for sagginess?

I think I will pick up one pair from Gap/Other high street for now to keep me going and then start scouring ebay for J Brand.

Thanks both!

I've heard good things about Uniqlo jeans although I haven't tried them myself.

I've also seen J Brand in TK Maxx recently. I think they were around £59 so a bit over budget but might be worth looking out for if they're as good as people say.

I'd never even heard of j brand before this thread (yay for mumsnet) so I'm going to start keeping an eye out for them. Nothing on eBay in my size at the mo but I'll keep watching and I'm going into town this/next week so will put tk maxx on my list.

I'll start watching out for uniqlo as well. Thank you Grin

Try Dotty P's and Next. I have bought their bootcut & boyfriend fit before & they lasted years.

I also bought M&S jeggings which are so comfy, tip is to buy one size up as they are high waisted.

Check this thread out for recommendations.

They don't do theirs with leg and waist measurements though do they? Just in normal clothes sizes? I've always got a better fit when I've found places that do jeans measurements with leg and waist measurements.

Thanks tho I'll have a look through the thread.
