It's a relatives birthday, all ages from 85-16 will be there but I don't want to look too casual or too dressed up considering its day time.

Or is it too office-y?

That looks absolutely perfect. Even better with a fab statement necklace, otherwise it could look a teeny bit bland. Either that, or some patterned or metallic shoes.

Shock

I never feel I get it right with clothes. It'll need new shoes too then.

Thanks I will order it.

You'll want some colour in the rest of your outfit, but I think the dress looks nice.

Tigerbear · 20/09/2014 21:58

What size shoe are you OP?

Fluffycloudland77 · 20/09/2014 22:28

I'm a four.

Shoeaholics have let me down already tonight.

I love it!Perfect for the occasion.

Tigerbear · 20/09/2014 22:51

Bugger, I have some nude heels going spare on my free clothes thread, but they're 3. Sorry

rootypig · 20/09/2014 22:55

Perfect! I'd wear with bright or patterned flats (pointed ones look good at the moment), a couple of cuffs on one wrist, and a bright lip.

Fluffycloudland77 · 20/09/2014 23:01

It's ok Tiger I'd never expect anyone to lend me stuff.

I have real jewellery that dh bought me when we had money so I'll wear that. It's white gold so a bit bland but I never wear it any other time.

I can't afford a lot either. There's a present to buy as well.

I'm thinking of orange for shoes. I'm going to look on eBay.

love the brightness of the shoes with the dress.

AimlesslyPurposeful · 21/09/2014 00:10

Love your dress OP!

Like the colour of the shoes too but might not go for metallic myself.

If you like orange what about this River Island pair on Ebay? Or there's this Kurt Geiger pair.

coffeenut · 21/09/2014 00:20

where is it from fluffy? I have been looking for something similar for a similar event.

Fluffycloudland77 · 21/09/2014 08:02

The dress is jane norman, it's in the sale at house of fraser for £10.

I have these sandals already but if its cold they won't be suitable. I'll have a look at those shoes you linked to.

Be never knowingly underdressed! I think it's perfect.

Fluffycloudland77 · 21/09/2014 08:23

Ooh those shoes are too high for me!. I couldn't manage them.

I'm thinking of buying new look shoes.

I love those yellow sandals - where are they from?

Fluffycloudland77 · 21/09/2014 09:05

Carvela kollude. They come in white mock croc & black too.

Best of all I can stand up in then. Dh has been told to find me shoes.

I've ordered these. I had a gift card for M&S for £18.50, I used a 20% off code so I paid £1.50.

I got half a size bigger so I can stuff the toes with loo roll if they are too big.

Dh is very relived not to have to listen to me whinging all weekend that I've got nothing to wear & no shoes!.

Total outfit cost £11.50.

I might get a cuff after all......

Thank you Fashion Vipers.
