Bra intervention-Is it meant to be so painful?

Ok so I bought some new Bravissimo bras after the bra intervention.
I was a 30 band and 36 breast measurement so bought some 30E/F. The 30F fit really well even though quite tight.
They feel fine during the day but can start hurting by 6.

It's when I take them off that it's really painful. I feel sore, bruised and heavy. Sometimes I have to cup my breasts Blush to relieve that sore feeling. It takes up to 20 minutes for the pain to subside. Is this normal?! Will I eventually adjust?

sadly I find M&S bras terrible even though I do know my correct size.

For starters they don't use the same sizing as everyone else, I think from memory they don't do a FF cup? So a G cup in M&S is a size smaller than 'standard' sizes. And then even if you do get one that feels like a fairly good fit, it just sags as the day goes on.

They aren't even that much cheaper than somewhere like Bravissimo. Maybe a few £ but you could get far better quality bras in the sale section of Bravissimo, or Brastop, or My Curves and Me, for a similar price.

28 band will be a total pain to find. Especially in anywhere but teen departments and over B cup. I'm abroad as well and won't even try lingerie shops, (have been told that such size does not exist). So online it is - it's easier once you have your size figured out, I stick to same brands and rarely have any disappointments.

Macnab, now I'm clear how a bra should fit, I have bought from M&S, but still still to 'test driving' and take back what doesn't pass Grin. Generally, I can buy the my chest measurement but have to go up in the cup.

Can boobs that have been in the wrong bra for years 'settle' in the wrong places? Perhaps the pain are the boobs moving back to this place, like teeth in braces? Horrible analogy, sorry.

I tried bra intervention sizing and it just didn't work for me. Granted I couldn't find any bras with small bands and large cups but I did the scaling thing and bought a couple of 32Ds (I think) which looked fine on fitting but I had to take them off after half an hour or so (had bought 34Bs in the past and was I think supposed to find 30DDs). dd tells me that bras just are a bit uncomfortable and I'll get used to it, but that can't really be right can it? have a large bra genie for my martial arts class but I still find it a relief to get it off as soon as I get home. Have 40 odd years with no bra just made me intolerant of being strapped up (its the band I find uncomfortable)? Or should I prioritize a specialist bra fitting next time I'm back in the UK

If you buy a pair of new shoes, would you wear them for 12 hours solid? I think bras are a bit like shoes, and need breaking in gently.
