Turban towels anyone?

Boring question, sorry. But my yr 7 DD will soon be starting swimming at school and she struggles to wrap her hair up in a normal towel (bath or hand sized) to dry it and keep it off herself whilst she dresses. She'll be swimming in the mornings and will have the rest of the day with drippy hair if she can't dry it more effectively (yes I'm being v PFB, sorry!)

So I wondered if a turban towel would be any good? Does anyone use one? I've had a quick look online and they seem to have a popper clip at the back so it should be easier to keep up. Or would a sports towel be better? Any opinions? What do other kids do? No hairdryers at school obviously. TIA.

I have been thinking the same myself for my DD, it's getting colder, and I don't really want DD to have wet hair outside, I'm sure it will give her a cold. She has a turban towel that she uses at home, and it works great. Get one, practice at home. Hers is a relatively cheap and simple one that her auntie got her from the US (strange present, but it's actually very useful). Her cousin (age 11) uses one for swimming classes as well.

I have a few turby towels & my dd's also use them.
I only have the cheap ones (primark, poundland etc) but they are so handy and easy to use.

Can't she use a swimming cap?
In answer to question, I got one from amazon and it's great. Was about £6 inc postage I think. Got a different one from pound store and it was awful, so quality really varies.

I use a soap and glory one from boots. It's fantastic. I did buy one from primary which was awful. The soap and glory one has a loop at the back and soaks up a lot of the water from your hair. I try to covert everyone to use one. Smile

DD has the cuddledry one. Easy for her to use as the twisted end just pops through an elastic hoop.

Tbf the ones from primark aren't great so I might try the ones from boots that a pp has suggested.

When we take children swimming a hat is compulsory, for health and safety reasons rather than to keep it dry though. It is best if girls with long hair have it in a plait so it is easier to get the hat on, there is no time for faffing around with it after swimming either so it needs to be in a style that it can stay in.

They do have compulsory swim caps, but in no way does it keep DD's hair dry. Thanks for the suggestions, I'll def check out the boots one then.
