LindyBop Ophelia blue polka dot size 16 DISASTER

This is the longest of all long shots, but I am trying everything.

Today the front glass of my washing machine exploded, shredding everything inside and killing the washing machine.
Most things in the machine can be replaced except my daughter's very most favourite dress ever, a LindyBop Ophelia size 16 (she is Norky like her mother) blue polka dot dress.
It is now a pile of ribbons and glass fragments, unrepairable, even by my magical seamstress mother.

We have looked on every single possible website, Amazon, eBay, all the vintage shops, everywhere...nothing. They have the other colours, and other spotty dresses, but you know how it is when something is just utterly perfect, nothing else will do.

Has anybody got one of these LURKING in a wardrobe that they have shrunk/grown out of, worn once and hated, gone off?

I know this is a very very long shot, but we are willing to pay full price for this most beloved item.

Thank you for reading and I do hope you are all having a better day than us :(

I think I'm about to launch myself into debt after seeing this thread... gorgeous dresses on that site!

Norks I'm glad you managed to get a replacement, your daughter is a lucky girl.
I'm quite impressed with the positive comments and will be buying something tomorrow.

I bought three dresses from LindyBop last night (I'm not going to keep them all of course......ummmm) after reading this thread and they dispatched this morning before I left for work - very impressed.

For the PP who mentioned 20th Century Foxy, I ordered a dress from them, unf it didn't fit so I had to send it back but it was beautifully made - really lovely. I also got some trousers which are really flattering. If you want to treat yourself I would say it would be money well spent.

Harder, I've got quite a few lindy bop dresses and they are fab! the only thing i'll say is that a couple of the dresses I have have a slightly uneven hem due to the way they've been cut (longer at the front/back) it's not noticeable when worn with a 50's style underskirt though and could easily be sorted by a seamstress. I wore one of their Ophelia's for a wedding last month and had a good few comments on my dress, it certainly didn't look like i'd paid £35 for it!

None the same style and size you want but there are Lindy Bop dresses on Depop. Depop is an App you have to download.

I buy loads from there.

Shia · 19/09/2014 11:19

rubysvintage on Depop have the ophelia dress in sizes 10-16 but in a floral print.

MarysDressSways1 · 19/09/2014 11:34

Ooo that's a lovely dress. Are they true to size? (ie should you just order your normal size?)

NanooCov · 19/09/2014 11:49

Same question as Marys re sizing. Currently pregnant but have several weddings to attend next summer already and some of these look lovely. I am also generously norked so good to know they're already popular with my fellow norkees

NorksAreMesssy · 19/09/2014 12:25

Well, i am usually a norky 18, (hence my NN) but I seem to be a 16 in these dresses.
But I havent tried the latest one on yet.
The stretchy fabric helps

Sold to the dodo in the corner. They look lovely (another norker here)

MarysDressSways1 · 19/09/2014 13:28

I am also norky.. A size 12 but 34g boobs.. You reckon a size 12 would do it? QUANDARY!

They're so purdy, and so much cheaper than Vivienne of Holloway dresses (which I also love).

FelixFelix · 19/09/2014 14:49

I am not norky and had to size down. My sister is norky and her normal size fit lovely.
