I'm toying with the animal print top and colour block tunic. The rest of it looks a bit disappointing though.

Bought anything....

321zerobaby · 16/09/2014 19:15

I am cross with Boden, they sent me a £15 voucher which I used, but sent the things back from that order. They would not transfer the voucher to an order I made a day or 2 later, or a new order. Last time that happened they let me reuse it. Its like giving you a present and then taking it back! Think carefully ladies before you spend it. I should have just kept the top, with the voucher it only cost £3!!!

I like the look of the animal spot top too, does anyone have the blue? What shade is it?

ZaraW · 16/09/2014 19:20

museumum good to know they look really lovely on the website. I cycle to work and will leave shoes in the office. I am really heavy footed so like you I won't be walking far in them.

polyhymnia · 16/09/2014 19:31

Agree those shoes look nice if not very walkable in.

The Chelsea turnups are very good. Suit me and I'm an hourglass.

Not really fair to compare with Wrap as I always buy Boden with 15- 20% off which makes it much cheaper than Wrap who never have reductions except in end of season sales ( when things are often sold out in my size).

princessdave · 16/09/2014 20:08

321zerobaby I sent the blue animal print top back today as it feels thin for the price. It's nice enough but I'm trying to be a bit more picky now as I'm on maternity pay!
I posted a couple of (mirror) pictures on my blog if you want an idea of the colour IRL: whatlouwore365.blogspot.co.uk/2014/09/boden-animal-print-top-winter-collection.html

Laquila · 16/09/2014 20:27

Contraryish - my thoughts exactly on the Claudia coat! If they do a 30% code I might try it in grey.

Other than that I mainly wondered what the hell was up with all the tartan, and wasn't the online styling/photography boring and bad.

321zerobaby · 16/09/2014 23:57

Thankyou princessdave, similar blue to how it looks in the catalogue I think.

princessdave · 17/09/2014 02:32

Yes true to the catalogue colour - not always you can say that about boden! Particularly with yellow items... :)

JenniMoo · 17/09/2014 07:30

Has anyone ordered the red (autumn leaf) Chelsea turnups? I'm wondering what sort of red it is, as it doesn't look orange in the picture but the name sounds like it should be...
I still haven't seen anything I fancy getting even with my £10 voucher.

AnathemaIsANiceNameForAGirl · 17/09/2014 08:29

Felyne I love a bit of Boden, but in every collection there are a few items that have me gaping at the screen in horrified incomprehension. That is one of them Grin the pink version is worse!

Djangor · 17/09/2014 08:45

Sizing has changed a lot. Particularly obvious with the Chelsea turn-ups which now have only 4inches between waist & hips so much worse than the previous version for pears & the new Boden size 12 hips are equivalent to size 8 in Oasis. Negative vanity sizing?

Dancergirl · 17/09/2014 09:24

OMG that cardigan! Shock

Who wears this stuff?

OP posts:
princessdave · 17/09/2014 10:23

Destined for the 80% off clearance in January that is Felyne Shock

Milmingebag · 17/09/2014 10:41

That cardigan is such a mingtastic effort in both colour ways.

Seriously though how much of a knobber would you feel rocking up somewhere with dayglo turquoise trousers, a clashing duck printed top and that monstrosity hotchpotch fucker?

Er the mustard skirt with clashing tops is hideous too. That clashing print thing was over five years ago. and it was vile then

The tartan explosion is like a middle class expression of the Daniella Westbrook and Burberry debacle.

Greenstone · 17/09/2014 11:25

Thanks for the link to your blog and the animal print top princessdave - it looks good on you (I was confused for ages about how you could have ordered it when pregnant and be so skinny already, but duh, you preordered it, right?). I'm also a bit worried about the material and having a new baby - it might not be very practical, but we shall see...

I agree that the styling is really poor/infantile/irritating for the women's stuff. I'm a recent convert to Mini Boden I must say, and find the Mini Boden catalogues really cute and well made. But the adult stuff...gosh.

princessdave · 17/09/2014 11:39

Yes sorry I pre-ordered it in the summer, baby is 11 weeks now :)
It didn't seem very "animal print" in real life but I'd look again at say, £15 given how thin it was!

Greenstone · 17/09/2014 11:56

Congratulations! (Your figure looks amazing 11 weeks postpartum btw!)

princessdave · 17/09/2014 12:20

Oh thank you, that's very kind! I think it's luck & also that I carried on running until week 32 like last time then started again at 4 weeks. Plus I also push my toddler in a running buggy to add intensity... Glutton for punishment?! Got my first post-baby half marathon in just under 3 weeks, that'll be tough :)

SpringyReframed · 17/09/2014 12:35

I would've loved that Wool Shift if it hadnt been the same pattern as the parcels! Talk about scream Boden Hmm. That's familiar to anyone who ever queues in a Post Office!

It could be a big mistake by Jonny to be going for Tartan this year of all years
Wink

IHaveBrilloHair · 17/09/2014 18:54

The aubergine t bar shoes are lovely, but no way at that price, I got identical ones in silver from Warehouse/ASOS for £28.

GerbilsAteMyCat · 17/09/2014 20:08

There are some lovely dresses in the clearance sale down to under £20. If that helps anyone. The flowershow dress is particularly nice and a steal for under £20!

Oscarandelliesmum · 17/09/2014 20:23

Quite like the off duty jumper to slouch around in but as others have said 89 pounds isn't really a slouching around price. Hmm

SWIMTHECHANNEL · 17/09/2014 21:52

The stretach boots seem to have gone up by £20 but don't look 'upgreded' iyswim

mathanxiety · 18/09/2014 05:13

I like the Ingrid coat in blue. Looks like good quality; 70% wool is nice.

Is anyone else annoyed by the ditsy poses of the models?
