What are the rules for wearing skinny jeans with ankle boots?

Just that really. I have both boots and skinny jeans but I can't work out how best to style them together. It probably doesn't help that I have short legs (29inch) in proportion to my height (5 foot 5) but I really want to make it work! Is there a knack to this art?

They used to. My old Clarks boots fit fine. I just really annoyed that M&S ones don't and they are £10-30, cheaper. Clarks are just getting stupid.

I'm a SAHM, I live in mum boots and mine are knacked, I'm just puzzled why boots (and sandals) have gone up so much in the last three years.

If jeans are in the boots I leave the zips open a bit nonchalant like. Or cuff the jeans. Not straight in. And I have given this thought over the years. But wouldn't judge you. Unless it's the same colour boots and jeans which can give a hoof/Prince appearance.
