Eyebrows

I'm getting on a bit and in my youth plucked my eyebrows into oblivion. They've grown back a bit. Anyway, I had HD done.........too thin and arched......think Gary Glitter!
There's nothing more ageing than thin eyebrows. But drawing them in looks fake and too dark and clown like. I have blond hair.
Suggestions, please. I'm looking for something to make them look thicker but not too dark.

I've heard that a little carefully applied Rogaine can work wonders.

Thanks, Sofa, but I was meaning what can I use on a daily basis to make them appear a bit thicker. Like a make up item that's natural looking and not too dark.

Bobbi Brown do a sort of mascara-for-brows product in a blonde shade that is excellent. Swipe it over and it just makes your brows that little bit more defined without noticeably darkening them.

A taupe eyeshadow applied with a stiff brush then a slick of vaseline?

I use the Rimmel professional eyebrow pencil in number 002 hazel, I've got blondeish hair(not my natural colour) and the colour works really well, easy to create your own shape and you can make your eyebrows as soft or prominent as you like. It's got a shaping brush on the lid which helps to blend it in. I've used it for years and always get complimented on my brows Grin

Smashbox Brow Tech in taupe gives a nice result, easy too.

Please get benefit brow zings, I have rubbish eyebrows also plucked to oblivion, I'm also rubbish at putting on make up, this kit changed my life I love it!! Have a look on you tube to get an idea of how it works, it lasts ages as well, once you have mastered it, it only takes a couple of mins each day.

I second benefit brow zings. The light one can be built up gradually and it makes a big difference. I also tint my brows at home (using kit bought in boots) - start with a v short time and then build it up once you know how long it takes. It's best to protect the skin around your brows with Vaseline beforehand. I'm too scared to get mine done professionally, as I've seen pale skinned people with Groucho Marx style dye jobs. It does fade, but takes a few days to do so.
