Hair dye remover? For your hair I mean, not clothes/skin

Okay, so I'm a bit of an idiot and need your help!

Hair was dyed a dark blue/black. Didn't like it, so decided to go back to a lightish brown. Except it didn't.

The roots are a lovely caramel brown colour. The rest is still black!

Is there something I can get to remove the colour? I look like a twat!

Please help! Flowers

You'll need to go to hairdresser to have it stripped. I use to due my light hair brown and when I decided I wanted to go blonde my hairdresser advised me to use anti dandraff shampoo as that fades hair dye

Fricking phone! I use to have black hair!

Gah, that means I have to go to work tomorrow like this?!

Will call and see if I can get an appointment for tomorrow night or Saturday, thanks!

Colour B4 is good. You can buy it in most places that sell hair dye, I've used it a few times Smile

It STINKS though Grin

Colour B4 stripped my hair dye off (was a dark reddy brown) and took it straight past it's natural colour of mid-brown and it ended up nearly strawberry blonde! Natural colour, yes, but just not mine!

Colour removers like Colour B4 are fab, although there is a stripper one that you don't want to use.

Colour B4 got rid of a couple of years worth of Live XXL black dye on my hair with two applications.

You can use the removers upto three times but make sure you rinse them out for as long, and longer then it says in the instructions. Give it a week minimum before redying hair or you could risk re oxidising it meaning it will go back to black. Try to use a semi permanent dye, to let your hair recover from the double processing if you used permanent dyes both times.

Don't let a hair dresser strip it, they will use bleach, and seeing as you have already put two dyes on your hair, you would risk damaging it.

Also to remember about removers is that they will take your hair to a lighter shade if you have used a permanent dye. That's because the peroxide in permanent dyes lighten the hair slightly.

I have an unwanted pack of Colour B4 sitting in my bathroom cupboard that I'd be happy to send you if you want it Smile

Ok, so I used that Colour B4 stuff and like ROAR I am now the proud owner of gingery-reddish-browny type hair!

It stank like hell! It still vaguely lingers now.

But at least it's now one colour, even if that colour is nothing like my natural one!

And on a related note....my hair is now dry as fook, any tips on conditioners/moisturisers for hair?!
