Help, I need non frumpy clothes for the autum?

I'm 32 size 12 ( though often buy bigger for comfort ), I have lost weight so last years clothes don't fit. I don't like to wear what everyone else is wearing, I like surf clothing ( animal, roxy etc..) but starting to feel like I'm getting to old to wear them ( am I?), I like to dress for comfort, I like to be warm, I don't wear high heals and rarely wear dresses. I have a pair of skinny jeans and a pair of boyfriend fit jeans but I need some tops to wear with them, looking for something I can wear under a hoody and some long tops that cover my bum when I'm wearing skinnies or leggings.

Please help, I have no idea what to buy.

I don't want to spend a fortune as I am hoping to lose a bit more weight, I hate shops like 'new look' and 'matalan' , not keen on Next except for their jeans.

You might like Seasalt's clothes? Some of the stripy sailor tees could go under hoodies and they have casual but nice looking jersey tops. And it's a bit different from the usual high street stuff. Fairly expensive but you could get just a couple of things.

How about Gringo (stocked on EBay), Nomads, Komodo, Joe Browns and Mistral?

You aren't too old by the way.

If you like plainer stuff with interesting shapes - EKO sense (earth kind originals).

I would check out Uniqlo.com for some simple basic layering tops, inexpensive and quality is decent.

Surf brands are slowly becoming more middle aged than anything, so I definitely don't think you are too old, if that's what you're comfortable in.

Just realised, that might sound disparaging of the surf brands. Not how I meant it at all. Just saying that if you pick carefully there's no reason why you shouldn't be able to wear it for quite a few more years if that's what you want to do.

Thank you, I have a few summer tops from mistral ( I only buy when there's a sale on ), we have a shop that sells Seasalt so I will have a look in there, my favourite top from weird fish got ripped yesterday Sad.
