Nursing dress needed for friend's wedding - any ideas?

Hi there, I'm hoping someone here has an idea as I've utterly failed thus far so am hoping for collective wisdom.

I gave birth 12 weeks ago to a prem baby boy. understandably I haven't really thought about what I've worn since then. However, we're home now and have a wedding to go to at the start of October. I'm ebf and the baby will be coming with us. but I need something that's not yoga trousers and a t-shirt.

I've had a look online but everything seems a bit dull. Pre pregnancy I would have worn a 50's style dress, probably something from Bravissimo but can't find anything suitable.

I'm about a size or so bigger than I was, so a 16ish and am carrying weight on my tummy.

any help would be gratefully received - even pointers of where to look

Thanks in advance

Have a look at Frugi they make gorgeous baby/toddler clothes as well as some really lovely bf tops and dresses. They are a uk company very ethical and everything is made from organic cotton. Lovely designs I quite fancy some of the bf clothes and all my babies are well past that stage now Grin

congratulations! I am bf my 16 week old dd who was also premature and I wore a blue lace skater style wrap dress from oasis to a wedding 2 weeks ago. not sure how to do links but it is on their website. it has a button at the wrap part of the dress so boob access is super easy and the dress actually looks nice too! it cost 55 quid.

I never managed to feed in a dress, so I'd go for separates. I used to use flowing tops, and stick the baby up underneath it.

If you're the kind of person who manages to feed very tidily under a scarf of some kind then a wrap dress is probably your best option. And there's loads of wrap dresses out there, no matter what your budget is.

Seconding Frugi, also Boob Design usually do some nice jersey dresses that could be dressed up with accessories/jacket - here's their site (though you'll probably be able to find them somewhere else where you won't have to order them from Sweden):
shop.boobdesign.com/en/4/nursing-wear

Some nice stuff in Babes With Babies:

Peaks of London are good too, if a bit pricey:

And yes, I never managed feeding in a regular dress unless it was a really stretchy wrap-front, basically have weirdly widely spaced boobs (think where a minimizer bra would put them) so even with a button front would practically need to take the top of the dress off to get at them.
