Where to get school shoes - Clark's caused blisters

I am so annoyed. I bought my DDs new school shoes from Clark's ready for the start of term. After the first day of wearing, DD8 complained of rubbing which then progressed into a blister. DD12 broke out in 2 blisters after her first day of wearing.

Return both pairs to the store at the weekend for them to be refitted with new shoes.

DD8 seems OK after one day of wearing. However DD12 now has 5 bleeding blisters on her feet. Clark's advice is to rub Vaseline into the show leather to soften it; and to heat shoe with a hair dryer.

I am disgusted that having paid £37 for school shoes it has cost me 2 trips into town and for me to mould them to fit my DDs feet!

I'm impressed with Clark's customer service of no quibble exchange in this instance (even though the receipt shows as 'Goodwill'!!)

Luckily I kept my DDs school shoes from last term. She will have to wear those until we can get into town again.

Don't know what size they go up to but google start right.

Also brantano do fitting. You could also try a different clarks shop. Could be the fitter. Try during the week if possible eg straight after school. You tend to get staff that work more often then and so have more experience.

Good luck x

Startrite is brilliant. You can buy them online from their website or if you have a Jones the Bootmakers near you, they normally carry these instore Smile
