Eye cream and/or moisturiser for sensitive skin?

Looking for a eye cream and moisturiser. I never use any products on my skin, rarely wear make up, can't use soap ( often just wash with water ) due to having sensitive skin and eczema. I'm just recovering from a flair up around my eyes and eye lids, my skin is quite dry and now my eyes are looking old Sad. I would love to find a eye cream and face cream which I can use without causing another flair up. Any ideas?

What's your budget? The Simple range is a good low budget starting point, they have no perfumes etc.

I don't mind spending a bit more if it's not going to cause a flair up. I have tried 'simple' and it seems to dry my skin out and make my eye lids sting Sad.

I have really sensitive dry skin and I use Clinique. They have a lot of hypoallergenic, very mild products with no fragrances etc. Maybe go and have a chat to their sales assistants, always v knowledgeable IME.

Good idea cabbage, I think I will go and talk to someone tomorrow and see if I can find something.

I find the avene range excellent. I currently use the avene hydrance optimale (and there is a version for dry skin too).

Check out their website, you can fill in a brief questionnaire about your skin issues and it will recommend products and send out samples in the post to you too. This brand is found in boots.

It's a really nice moisturiser and your face doesn't feel sticky at all after using it.

I have a similar problem with creams and now I mostly use almond, coco-nut or wheatgerm oil. I find the fewer ingredients, the less risk there is of a flare up.

Try using a cream cleanser instead of water on your face as water can be very drying, esp first thing in the morning when your skin is often at its driest (I use Cliniques cleanser but have heard good things about Weleda's almond oil cream cleanser too).

Like others I use Cliniques moisturiser but for colder weather I use Eucerin Aquafor balm on very dry patches, inc around my eyes (fantastic, lasts ages and good value).

I tried almond and coconut oils, they felt good but I didn't find them moisturising enough.

I have very sensitive skin and eczema and I use the Superdrug Vitamin E range. I use the hot cloth cleanser and the Intense moisture cream and find them very gentle and soothing. I haven't had an eczema flare up on my face since I started using them. They are also cheap enough that if you try them out and they don't work for you, you haven't wasted loads of money on them

Simple and Clinique have a lot of harsh products.

Avene's reputation is built on gentle products. They have a lovely Extremely Gentle Cleanser, which gets a lot of dermatologist recommendations, and a large array of moisturisers. You should find something there.

You absolutely need to steer clear of anything foaming.
