What (fairly) stylish shoes do you wear if you have an active toddler?

I have a 14 mo dd; I'm 11 weeks pregnant; and I'm a SAHM. I spend most of my time walking to local playgroups, at soft play, at the park, at our local petting farm and running errands. I always wear skinny jeans, baggy denim shorts and on the rare occasion a dress. My converse are minging and I need to get rid of them. They are crap for wet weather and puddles. They are not cushioned enough to be comfortable. I've lived in various pairs for the last 8 years and I do not want another pair! I have hunters for wet weather, ugg leather riding boots for winter, these new trainers for autumn. But I need something non fluffy and sensible and comfy and vaguely trendy for now. I also have wide feet, so my Nike wedge trainers are crap because they squash my toes and have given me the most god awful blisters. Plus they are to high for climbing. Dd lives to climb right now and as she's tiny I have to climb with her! Help!

I live in S Oliver shoes, all day at work and with 4dc after work. Will try to find you a link.

Adwww.zalando.co.uk/s.Oliver?
Like these ones.

Hebburnisaplaceonearth · 08/09/2014 15:39

Bumping for you, because I want to know the answer too :)

DesperateHousewife21 · 08/09/2014 15:55

Toms!! they're soooooo comfy and come in a zillion colours so can always match with clothes.

MrPop · 08/09/2014 16:13

Would you wear something like clarks brogues? The sole is cushioned so comfy and they do wide fit (though I have wide feet and wear their normal fitting).

Or a lot of ankle boots I would think would fit your brief. There are some nice ones at M&S (20% off at mo too) with insolia (? I think its called that) so again v comfy. If you get leather not suede they are good in the wet too.

Biker boots are good I think too, can go with jeans and skirts / dresses.

Other trainers by nike would work - I like the thea or rosche run v comfy!

Really like these too Gabor Brignall ankle boots. Sorry I am useless with links.

makeminea6x · 08/09/2014 19:04

Don't your feet get wet in those Toms?

Carrie5608 · 08/09/2014 19:11

Or these? Marco Tozzi Ladies Ankle Boot 25344 Muscat

minipie · 08/09/2014 19:12

No idea if they count as stylish but I wear these - they are much more supportive/comfier than converse and they're weather proof too.

Any kind of suede/leather trainers would work really.

SchroSawMargeryDaw · 08/09/2014 19:52

These are my favourite just now, really only for dry weather though, but very comfy.

fiorentina · 08/09/2014 21:19

I wear ankle boots with a small heel, short cowboy boots, brogues or biker boots?

yazzy85 · 08/09/2014 21:26

Clarks ankle boots or ballet flats are very comfy

I wanted to ask what the 'deal' is with toms- I'd not heard of them until the other day. Are they the latest "in" thing?

bluewisteria · 13/09/2014 12:01

Sebago loafers, oil waxed brown ones are amazing, constantly complimented on them. They come in a range of colours too. You can run and climb in them too! Don't need breaking in either...
