Do you ever get that told you look nice?

I often find myself telling friends and family they look nice/well/great, but I rarely seem to have it said to myself - even from family, even when I have made an effort with my appearance. Not quite sure what I'm doing wrong, or even why I care!!

Like Happy I was told by at good friend, also at 18, to just accept the compliment because she wouldn't have said it if she didn't mean it. I've always said thank you since then.

Despite the fact I'm overweight and early 40s now I do get a lot of compliments about what I'm wearing - I'm not particularly edgy or stylish but I do wear bright tops and colours and don't hide in baggy clothes. I do make sure I compliment other people as well because everybody needs that little boost in confidence even if they look super confident.
