DD starts reception on Monday and it suddenly occurred to me yesterday that not only does she have to have her shoulder length hair up for school but that it is going to have to stay up all day. Yesterday's bunches lasted about 45mins before a bobble came out; today's plaits lasted a bit longer but not much more than an hour. Over the years, I have tried the "normal" bobbles with gold thread running through them, towelling type ones, thicker "adult" ones and never had much success with any of them. Clips can only hold a few strands. What do I do? Cutting it so it is short enough not to have to tie it back won't work as then it just explodes out of her head!
