Matching undies - special occasions or a daily event?

I have worn matching underwear everyday for the last 14 years (matching colours counts, not just sets).

I like it because it makes me feel nice regardless of what I have on over the top.

The only exceptions when I broke this self imposed rule was when changing my normal bra for a sports bra.

I do feel I've missed out on some fun knickers over the years, but just couldn't bring myself to not match. Having a big bust means they don't always make my size in some designs

Now DS has arrived it had gone out of the window as not always possible plus I couldn't get a nude bf bra before he arrived and not happened since.

When I stop bf I plan to treat myself to some new sets and return to my old habits.

Is it just me or do many people like to match and find odd undies just feel a bit wrong.

Definitely a matching set always. I used to buy only silk, but have relaxed on that a bit lately.

Don't think I've ever even owned a matching set.
I buy knickers and bras as separate items - wouldn't occur to me to try to match them in any way.

ThePrisoner, if you buy something silky (not silk) they don't pick up the colour like cotton does.

Cold I have a gorgeous Elle MacPherson silk bra in a G. :) It is so lovely and comfy, can't remember if there were matching pants though!

I used to do this when i was younger and loved it. A few years back however i switched to comfortable reliable black cotton pants. I still have a great collection of bras though!

I would love to wear some sexy matching undies every day whether I am at a wedding or doing the gardening but in reality I wear whatever suits the outfit. As another poster said, if dark bra and light pants are required that's what I'll put on.
I do have some nice twinsets but tend to wear those with casual wear (normally skinnys and cardi) for when boyfriend and I see each other.....ahem

I more or less match everyday, although that really means the colour and general style matches rather than the individual design of bra to knicker. I have tonnes of knickers but they all "match" with at least one bra.

Ditto with sports bras, I have pants that "match" them but aren´t made by the same brand.

Happy, that is the way to go, still feel coordinated and good but more practical to maintain.
