Spots that won't go away

I'm finding as I get older that skin problems seem to take ages to heal, is this an age thing? I have had a spot for 2 weeks now on the side of my nose. The actual inside of the spot has gone iyswim, but I still have a red spot mark. Any ideas how I can speed up the healing process? I have found this with cuts and scrapes and things too, as I get older things are taking longer to heal Sad

Snap...I'm trying coconut oil this week as so many ppl are raving about it.

I have two huge bottles of Arnica Gel and Propolis Gel

Arnica for bruises and strains (and good for DC sports injuries)
Propolis is derived from a by-product of honey, it's antibacterial. Basically what bees wipe their bums feet on before they go into the hive so they don't transfer any bacteria to the pupae.

(48 and noticing my skin changing too)

Batmam, are you trying the oil cleansing method thing?

No just chucking it on my face on dry patches/redness/scars coz it's antibacterial. Tried oil pulling with it too! [boak??] Don't know much about it though really, how do you use it in a cleansing routine?
