I have a multitude of coats, cashmere, bags and boots, I still want to buy something Grin

What's inspiring you this season?

YSL tartan scarf or BV cashmere scarf

Marant chess boots,

HelpMeGetOutOfHere · 07/09/2014 20:44

Cashmere cardigans. Hardly life changing but have always just brought cotton cardis. In john Lewis this weekend and saw a display of cashmere, wow so so soft.

Is mid price /cheap as in john Lewis/m&s/Boden cashmere any good? I can't stretch to the £100's of pounds real stuff.

Madaboutthrows · 07/09/2014 20:53

Holger the pattern I want isn't in the sales

70isaLimitNotaTarget · 07/09/2014 21:09

I need some fine knit short sleeved jumper and cardigans (okay Yes - Twin-Set. But in my defence, I'm middle-aged)

I like the Uniqlo jumper I bought last year but I'm a bit dubious about buying something dry-clean only.

Can I wash them if I do it really carefully?

I will have a look in H&M , I bought a chunky knit jumper but I like their fine knits, I need to see what I can pair up.

SWIMTHECHANNEL · 07/09/2014 21:18

Holger - 20% off that M&S leather skirt today ...

HolgerDanske · 07/09/2014 21:20

Mad, oh no that's a shame. Which one is it?

HolgerDanske · 07/09/2014 21:20

Swim, ach! Alas it's a choice between the skirt and eating for the next two weeks...

LaCerbiatta · 07/09/2014 21:36

Some cashmere left in the hobbs sale. I bought a long cardigan 50% off.

LaCerbiatta · 07/09/2014 21:41

this is lovely!... only size 8 left though.
this is the one I got

HelpMeGetOutOfHere · 08/09/2014 09:51

thank you for the hobbs link. I have ordered a cardigan to see how I get on.

MilkThistle187 · 08/09/2014 11:27

HelpMe I am a big cashmere fan and the John Lewis stuff I have is lovely, very good quality. I don't like M&S, it's too thin. Cashmere needs to be fuzzy IMO.

NO DO NOT NEED ANY MORE BECKSONDERGAARD SCARVES even though I think they make me look like a sexy capable Scandinavian drama lady.

Wantses (does not always equate to getses):

  • North Face Arctic Parka
  • Mulberry Tessie satchel in Oak
  • big red cable Eric Bompard cashmere scarf (have the black one from last year and it is insanely snuggly)
  • considering a black leather skirt, though need to find one that suits my, er, sturdy hips/thighs.
LaCerbiatta · 08/09/2014 11:48

My hobbs cardigan has just arrived and it looks like the quality is good, but looks huge... I ordered a 12 even though I'm a 10 thinking that as it's a boyfriend style it would be fine but I'm not sure..... Will try it on at lunch time to see what it looks like.

HolgerDanske · 08/09/2014 11:59

Leedy my latest one just arrived today.

HolgerDanske · 08/09/2014 11:59

(Becksondergaard scarf, that is)

lordnoobson · 08/09/2014 12:19

The blue grey camo one?

leedy · 08/09/2014 12:47

Boden cashmere is pretty decent, though the styles are often a bit odd (weirdly boxy jumpers, etc.). Agree that M&S isn't great.

If you feel like splashing out a bit, Eric Bompard does amaaaaaazing cashmere cardis that last forever:

HelpMeGetOutOfHere · 08/09/2014 14:50

thank you. My dad gave me his boden voucher o have used it towards a cardigan with the 20% off.

I will be looking to upgrade as long as I can cope with the washing and I don't get any reactions (can't wear lambswool due to allergies), so thank you for the link.
