quality leather bag that will last

My dh is buying me a bag - lucky me - and I want good quality leather that will last. I've read on here that some designer bags are actually shit quality but I can't remember which. I am happy to spend a decent amount of money, up to £500, but don't want to waste it on a bag that is going to fall apart within a few years.

Can anyone recommend something in that price range. I am open to style, size and colour.

That Anya is gorgeous, a good choice as suitable for day and evening too. Only concern would be the pale colour possibly getting marks?

Yes, marks are a concern. Have seen on the website that darker colour combinations are available but to be honest it's the colours that really caught my eye. Perhaps I need to see the others in the flesh.

Usually these bags would be out of my league too hounds but we've had a good year so it's an extra special present and officially cotton this year, leather next so I'm taking that one in advance

Can you get to Bicester Village to have a good rummage around there?
I always come out of the Mulberry shop with something or other.
They have loads of designer shops.
Definitely worth a look if you can get there.
Just up M40 from London.

I'm very south London so Bicester would be impossible during the week and a bit of a hike at weekends, not sure I fancy it esp as might come away with nothing. Oxford St seems lime enough of a trek these days
