Nursing clothing!

Hello! Sorry if this has already been asked. Please can you share with me your breast feeding friendly style?
I don't have a lot of money right now, and it doesn't have to be nursing specific clothing, but I am so sick of struggling to find anything with easy boob access at the moment especially after what feels like the longest pregnancy ever (I never want to see another Breton striped top again!)

Please nothing frumpy. I want to feel stylish again!
TIA
Smile

I bought a load of £2 strap tops from primark and wore them under normal clothes. Pulled the strap top down and the other top up Smile

Frugi do some nice tops/dresses that are nice yet practical too. They still had a few bits in their sale last time I looked Grin

Frugi and the amusingly-named Boob Design do really nice, good quality nursing clothes if you don't want to have to wear two layers and/or look pregnant.

I also found some nice tops here, though they are of the double-layered variety:

I'm still bfing my toddler and I've found the following to work well.

  1. Get 2 or 3 fab feeding bras. This is where it's been worth spending the money. Can't rate bravissimo highly enough. For fitting and for flattering bras. Pricey but well worth it IMO. I have 3 Sophie bras and wish I hadn't bothered with the M&S and mothercare ones to start with. These are wash day only bras now.
  2. Cheap vests from M&S / Primark / H&M and then baggy t-shirt of sweater over the top and skinny jeans. Boob over top of vest and concealed by baggy top / sweater / jumper. This is my mum uniform! Today I have a pre-pregnancy baggy shortsleeve seater, h&m vest and baggy denim shorts and converse and don't feel frumpy at all.
  3. Wrap dress and vest for special occasions.
  4. A couple of breastfeeding specific things to start with if you're not feeling massively confident. I found them invaluable in the early weeks and they'll double as maternity now I'm pregnant again. I got some Mama tops from H&M, a Breton Wink dress from Jojo Maman and a couple of dresses from vertbaudet (there are usually loads of money off vouchers / sales on). I put these away when dd was about 12 weeks as they didn't fit / flatter anymore and I was confident with the vest / t-shirt combo.
  5. A feeding scarf. I've got 2 mamascarfs and still use them now. In fact used 4 times today out and about as dd has a habit of exposing me with her boob Olympic antics these days!
HTH!
