Is this suitable for a wedding?

Hi
I'm more of a lurker than poster but I'm a little worried that what I had planned to wear as a guest to a wedding may not be suitable? Any advice would be fab. I'll be wearing the dress with black tights/heels and have a red belt/clutch.

Thank you x

Hope the above works - not really sure how to do clicky links (sorry!!)

Looks fine for a late autumn/winter/evening wedding Smile

That's lovely - perfect for a wedding Smile

The dress is gorgeous but I don't think the accessories will match at all.

That is a very elegant, delicate dress - red would look bizarre with it imo.

I think you should go for neutral tights (or at the very most extremely sheer black ones - for the love of god don't wear thick or patterned tights with it), with beige heels. All but the most clunky in the picture attached would work well, and you can find nude heels literally everywhere.

I would completely forego the belt - it would look weird with a delicate dress. In it's place I would go for a gold pashmina and a black fascinator.

For jewellery I'd go for either fake pearls, or some very delicate gold drop earrings. Nothing heavy or clunky.

dress fine, but not with black tights or red belt. Black shoes fine with nude tights.

Thank you for the replies.

I was going to use this bag - only used it once so hoped it would get another airing lol (mine is a deep vintage red - not the same colour as the one on the link). I was going to team it with a black belt till I was told red (it needs a belt as the lace on the top/bottom of the dress don't matchup)

My reason for going with black tights/heels etc is because I am so pale (milk bottle white!!) that I didn't think I could carry off pale colours.

Have a couple of weeks so will take the dress with me shopping at the weekend.

Thank you - really pleased I asked for advice :-) x

Nude tights/stockings and tan heels.
The dress is gorgeous but keep accesories simple as it looks like a classy dress you don't want to throw a load of red in the mix.
Could make it look cheap.
Get some Garnier Summer body and start using it on your legs, every other day for a week or so before the wedding.
Your legs will have a lovely brown glow to them.

The design of the dress is that the lace doesn't match up on the top and the bottom - don't worry about it, that's how it's supposed to look :)

Having seen the bag I think you should give it a DEFINITE miss with this dress. The dress is a classic beauty, whilst the bag is retro kitsch. They don't combine well.

For pale legs, go for either sheer black tights, or nude ones. They will add a little colour to your legs without looking too orange :)

Gorgeous dress but agree with other posters that red accessories will detract massively from it and could easily look very tacky.

I'd go for subtle vintage styling. No belt. No black tights. And definitely no fascinator.

Thank you for your replies. I do really appreciate it.

So, I'm going to ditch the red belt/bag (crys for the loss of bag lol!!) and will go with nude tights, and nude/gold bag/accessories. I'll need to stick with my black shoes as I can't really afford to buy new (pic attached). I do have a lovely black fascinator but might see what else I can find when shopping.

Thank you - you are all amazing :-) xx
