Update, thanks for your advice, I have done it and I have chopped off my hair, do you like?

I just want to thank everyone for your suggestions about a new haircut for me. I went to the hairdressers this morning for a consultation and style armed with some pictures. Linda the stylist was patient and we spent nearly 30 minutes chatting about what to do, she wanted to be sure that I would not regret cutting my hair. Once Linda was happy that I was sure she started to do it and I am so pleased with the result. She has left it a bit longer than I wanted but suggested she do a slightly longer version and if I want it shorter I can come back next week when I am used to it and she will take more off without charge.

I know that long hair is classed as sexier with Guys but I felt that my hair just hung and was style less. I also wanted more me time and I love the ease of wash and go short hair.

I went out tonight for a Pizza with work friends, it took literally minutes to wash it and quickly blast it dry....it is such a pleasure to be able to shower and wash my hair so quick. Friends reaction was that of shock, they didn't think I would do it but all the girls felt it suited me.

I am really pleased and I have added a couple of pictures for everyone to see, one from this morning before I went to the salon and the other is after I washed it at 5 o'clock this evening.

See what you think and should I go back next week to have a bit more off a bit like Purplepenguin86 did...I am so so tempted!!!

Wow - that is a fab cut for you. Your face looks lovely and you have a neck and collarbones and everything. And your hairdresser sounds lovely.

Love it - you look fab! If you get a bit of wax or other styling product and just get a tiny bit in your hands and rub it between your fingers and then just mess your hair up with it you will be able to get some more definition or just change the look a bit when you want. Apologies if you already know that, but I was hopeless at styling when mine was first cut because it was so different to what I was used to! Takes a while to find the right product in my experience, I go through phases of various putties and waxes and mousses and all sorts!
