I mostly end up wearing scruffy clothes round the house but actually think I should spend more on these as they are mainly what I wear with a toddler. Where can I buy nice, comfortable, practical clothes - not on a big budget.

h&m do nice lounge/sports wear good quality and cheep. I also love their basics, vest tops and tshirts under £5 wash well and come in loads of different colours. if im in the house all day thats what I wear.
I also like them because they are long and dont ride up

I get mine from Matalan and asda. They do plain 100% cotton tops for about £6 and jogging bottoms for about £10. Comfy and smart enough to pop to shop in but I wouldn't go out out in them.

When I was in hospital unexpectedly with DS, DH was tasked with packing me a bag. He brought me "things I wear around the house but wouldn't even seen out in public in". He couldn't understand why he was sent back to get some other clothes!

Primark also has some decent jogging bottoms, I bought sone velour ones last year that washed up well and kept tgeir shape

I have some yoga pants, vests and sweat tops from Next's loungewear range. I tend to change into them when I get home from work. They aren't the height of fashion, but they are decent enough to open the door to the Tesco delivery driver in!

I have some black jersey harems; also some yoga trousers (Next) that I pair with either a cream Uniqlo fleece top, a grey Abercrombie hoody or a grey M&S sweatshirt.

I also have some fleecy checked PJ bottoms, but those really don't come out unless I'm staying indoors.

Don't spend £££, just refresh every season from Tesco or Primark.

I got some lush pale green cotton jammy bottoms with flowers on, Cath Kidston type design from Tesco for £8. Them + cheapo UGG boots as slippers + a plain black long sleeved jersey top (Peacocks) and I feel like I have made slobbing out an art form. If you want the whole look, add a generous squoosh of dry shampoo, shake your hands through your hair and stick in topknot, voila Grin

missbluebird I think we're married to the same man. My unexpected hospital wardrobe consisted of mismatching pyjamas (cos he couldn't find matching ones), a denim skirt, a golf top that was actually his, Flip flops, 12 pairs of knickers, a bra id forgotten I owned it was that old, and a t shirt with a big stain on the front.

Around the house I tend to throw on pool cover-up type dresses, the sort that they have in debenhams that coordinate with bikinis. But I live in the sun and our complex has a beach so not really out of place. Comfy, airy, and dry in 5 mins after being washed.

Wow steveBN - I did at least get a whole outfit I could wear, although with a black bra under a white top. He also brought me his toiletries, shampoo, deodorant and shower gel as he wasn't sure which of mine were what so he thought it was better than getting it wrong Smile
