A good, gentle, not expensive face wash for DS1's teenage skin?

Does anyone have a recommendation.

His skin is a bit ropey TBH. Lots of blackheads and small whiteheaded pimples. Not what I would call proper acne (yet)

IME, of having similar skin as a teenager, many of the products sold for oily spotty skin are too harsh and can actually make things worse. Can anyone recommend something really gentle?

ATM, at best, it's only being splashed with water, so I don't want to spend a fortune, as I have my doubts as to whether it will actually be used but feel I should give him something.

The pink neutragena, one is cheap in Superdrug stm.

Cetaphil fan here too. I am no teen but have oily problem skin.

This doesn't strip the oils from skin which some of the spotty ranges do.

I bought a twin pack from costco probably almost a year agp and still haven't finished them.

P.s. rubbish for removing eye make up. But it's unlikely to bother your ds :)

You can get cetaphil on prescription
I get it for my son, lotion and moisturising cream

Dove fragrance free soap bar is fab

Neutrogena clean and clear or the blackhead scrub have sorted my skin out. The oil free moisturiser is lovely and light and leaves my skin soft even after being out in all weather over winter.

I have combination skin and tried clearasil as a teen and it wrecked my skin by drying it out and didn't touch the blackheads. Neutrogena sorted the blackheads and helped balance the dry and oily parts when used with the moisturiser.

Boots often have the neutrogena range on offer at 2 for £5. The washes are usually £3-£5 and the moisturiser £4-£5 depending in where you shop. I stock up when its on offer in boots.
