Can anyone recommend a hair conditioner without silicone at a reasonable price? Also a leave in conditioner for curly hair or a curl cream/serum without silicone?

Thanks.

I use tresemme naturals conditioner www.boots.com/en/Tresemme-Natural-Moisture-Conditioner-750ml_1422074/. I use it as a leave in too. I use Naked Gorgeous Curls taming cream www.boots.com/en/Naked-Style-Gorgeous-Curls-Taming-Cream-150ml_952845/. It's the best styling product that I have tried.

Thanks, I'll have a look for them.

I have just bought garniers sleek restorer and I think I read that there is no silicones in it. It's on offer at asda at the noment

Fcukfifa · 29/08/2014 21:00

Moment Smile

I washed me hair with it this morning, used the deep conditioner too and my hair feels lovely

Darquesse · 29/08/2014 21:01

I bought Herbal Essences Nearly naked shampoo and conditioner last week on offer in asda, I quite like it, it leaves my wavy/curly hair looking tousled and ready to go if I let it air dry.

Hair101 · 30/08/2014 14:19

Why does it have to be silicone free?

ZaraW · 30/08/2014 14:58

Giovanni conditioners work really well on my dry frizzy hair. Better than premium brands.

GimmeMySquash · 30/08/2014 15:01

What is the deal with silicone in conditioner?

ThePerfectNegroni · 30/08/2014 15:08

Lots of us with curly hair find it costs their hair and stops moisture getting in. It's fine if you heat style and need the silicone protection, but for my curls I need silicone free.

JetJungle · 30/08/2014 15:18

For me the best reasonably priced silicone free conditioners are either Faith in Nature Jojoba (around £4.00 from Wholefoods) or The Body Shop Rainforest (about £4.50). There is a 40% off code for The Body Shop atm - TBS40.

IMO The best leave-in conditioner is the Naked Little Miracle Leave-In Conditioner (around £5 from Boots).

Thanks for the suggestions. I've got some Nakd curl cream to try, will look at the others too.

Sounds bonkers, but the best one I've tried so far is Lidl (Cien) coconut conditioner, at the bargain price of 66p for a HUUUGE bottle. I wash and condition with it and it makes my hair feel lovely. Have also tried Tresemme Naturals, another coconut one (can't remember the name) and also a Boots cheapo one (went straight into the bin after the first wash).

Notfootball · 30/08/2014 22:37

Yay to Jet's suggestion of Naked's leave in, works fabulously on DD's thick curls.

Notfootball · 30/08/2014 22:43

I use Herbal Essences Hello Hydration coconut conditioner, pretty sure it is silicone free. Usually on offer in Superdrug or I picked it up in the poundshop (big bottle).

WandaDoff · 30/08/2014 22:45

Tesco Indulgent Coconut conditioner 80p a bottle.

You lot are right cheapskates.

JetJungle · 31/08/2014 20:24

Well, I was taking the "reasonable price please" portion of the title into consideration.

No point recommending something the OP doesn't really want and can't afford, right?

Having said that I would take Faith in Nature over more expensive brands any day of the week. It just works for my hair.

I am unconvinced by over priced, over hyped hair products.

Imliketotallyummm · 31/08/2014 21:49

What's the point in spending more if it's not necessary?!

If a conditioner that is really cheap works for you then fair enough. I've never had satisfactory results from anything from the high street. Since switching over to professional products, my hair is in fantastic best condition and I use a lot less product so it works out more economical. In my experience you get what you pay for with some brands.

bloodyteenagers · 31/08/2014 22:44

I use Timotei.
Used to buy it from Waitrose. Local store stopped selling it.
used to buy it from Tesco, they stopped selling it.
In a 99p store looking for something else entirely, and shelves of the stuff, also in lots of different hair types.

During the time I could find Timotei, I used body shop rainforest.

rocket74 · 31/08/2014 22:47

The loreal ever pure range is great and smells divine. Super drug and bigger boots sell it.

Scarletohello · 31/08/2014 23:20

Bumble and Bumble do a great leave in conditioner but it is £20. However it lasted me ten months so lasts a long time as you don't need a lot.

Imliketotallyummm · 02/09/2014 11:09

Currently trying Body Shop Rainforest shampoo, Tresemme Naturals conditioner and Nakd curl cream, which I'm liking a lot on first try.
