Seeking a genuinely matt blusher?

Hi everyone,

I have terribly pock marked skin on my cheeks and this causes me problems when I'm buying blusher. I've tried a few recently but they all seem to have these tiny particles of glitter in them.

The problem with these is that they all clump up in my pock marks and make them look worse. I've recently tried the benetint stain one, but that caused similar problems as it just pooled in my pock marks, even when using a primer.

I'm on a tight budget and don't want to spend more then £10.

Thank you for reading xx

Try bourjois, they do matt ones, as I was looking for similar not long ago and was recommended these. They cost about £7.

Thanks for the tip, I will have a look.

Bourjois are good, but Essence is also quite good. You can buy Essence at Wilko - they also sell it online.
The two blush up! ones are really nice www.wilko.com/cosmetics/essence/icat/essence?sort=sku&parentCategoryRef=essence&order=descend&q=*&pdxttype=Blusher

You can find better pictures and reviews on google

Boots natural Collection £1.99 and MUA at Superdrug £1

no.7 pop and glow I think its called - looks like a fat lipstick

Botanicbaby · 28/08/2014 23:04

another vote for Boots Natural Collection - creme blusher in a tube. It is FAB.

Sleek blushers!!!!! Amazing!!!! You only need a small amount of product and I am totally converted! Zoella on YouTube has reviewed it and Tati also! Great, cheap brand! (Superdrug)

Carpaccio · 29/08/2014 00:02

Sleek are very good too, but so pigmented! You need to be very careful when applying it as it's very easy looking like a clown if applying the same amount as you would with other blushers. And it's a little difficult to take colour off again.

ZacharyQuack · 29/08/2014 00:39

Perhaps try a duo-fibre or stippling brush to apply, especially if the blusher's really pigmented? Real Techniques stippling brush is good and not very expensive, and it might help you apply the blusher lightly and avoid pushing it into your pores.

NARS Amour is lovely and matte, but pricey.

The clinique blushing blush powder is matte and I also find it very "smoothing" - it doesnt settle in fine lines and actually makes my skin look better

Pinkfrocks · 29/08/2014 07:57

isn't Sleek the same as MUA- that's who makes it?

Clinique is nice too but quite £££- you pay a lot for the case and the brush is useless IMO- and the pan is the wrong shape. Apart from that the actual product is nice!

Cheesymonster · 29/08/2014 09:01

Bourjois healthy mix blush pot is a matt bricky-coral.

coffeenut · 29/08/2014 12:57

Completely agree pinkfrocks re Clinique. It does last though so I can justify the price (I use it almost daily and it lasts over a year for each case). I ditch the brush. Pan is very annoying but you can get a proper blush brush in there and the colour and the texture are worth it IMO!

AnotherEpisode · 29/08/2014 18:00

No Sleek has nothing to do with MUA!

Nars matte multiples
