Henna query - Lush Caca range

Hi all does anybody know out there whether I should be purchasing the Caca Brun or the Caca Rouge from the Lush range?

I am 50 and have quite a pale complexion. I want to look modern and with it and I take pride in my appearance. My hair in its natural colour is dark brown but as we go older the need to go a shade paler is important to avoid looking gaunt. However I have also heard - according to Gok Wan I believe - that we can look darker also. I really don't want to go too dark though and black on me makes me look positively cadaverous!

In my thirties I used L'Oreal Mahogany semi permanent and in my forties and since turning 50 I have been buying L'Oreal Light Golden Brown. I don't mind a tinge of red but I don't want to go completely red.

Any ideas which of their range I should buy? From other research on mumsnet henna products Lush is the most popular brand name for most people and I have gathered up all the tips for application and am all geared to buy. I just don't want to look like a fortune teller on the beach!

I get terribly grey arond the roots and this is ever since turning 30. My skin seems to go greyer and greyer as time goes by and I really don't like to look grey whatsoever I really find it uncomfortable.

Thinking back to my teen years of endless experimentation both with clothing and with hairstyles I do fondly recall using henna but it is so long ago I am need of good advice and guidance.

I would be most grateful for any insight anyone. Thank you in anticipation!

Can it also make me look as young and sexy as possible or I am hoping just a bit too much there lol.

I use the Lush caca marron which comes out quite red on my white hair but titian on the darker stuff and everyone has complimented me - I also have freakishly pale skin despite being brunette.
I leave it on for the maximum time which makes it redder - if you do a couple of hours it isn't red but auburn.

DH says I look 10 years younger.

Caca brun basically gave me my own hair colour in dye but as I was dying my hair I thought I'd go a bit funkier so that's why I chose marron - works great for me and I'd recommend it.

PS to look even younger start weight training as well as dying your hair!!!! I now have reddish brown hair falling onto well sculpted shoulders - people have walked past me and not recognised me!

I wish I had time for more exercise but I am a single parent with NO help.... I am very diligent with health and beauty just exercising eludes me owing to time pressures. Thanks for the advice ladies so far let's see who else adds their insights and I can come to a well considered plan of action!
